I find this kinda weird, no offence but its weird to me, since i live in a nearby country its weird to hear such a thing
The whole thing about militia in BiH is funny and unrealistic to me =P

I cant believe someone would make a map after that movie...hell basing a map after the movie No Man's Land would be 1000 times better. But then again a PM will be probably sent to you soon with some proposition

Someone is going to have to PM me about this movie.... At the moment the map is still based on the
Behind Enemy Lines movie.
Just a little update. I have done some of the terrain that is visible from the carrier. I decided to make a beach landing nearly impossible which is the reason for not having any land assets. A few statics have also been placed. I am aiming to make the map look as wartorn as possible.
I will post a screenshot of the carrier when it is finished. I am trying to make it as similar as the one from the film as possible.

nice, too bad we do not have a Nimitz-Class Carrier
but could be still quite funny, i guess, the best solution for the Opfor would be a Militia using better (Russian) vehicles

Whoa...what? Your making a full sized aircraft carrier
and a 4km map? Even I know that is a huge undertaking and you probably won't finish it for a very, very long time, no offence.
The reason nobody has made a Nimitz-class carrier is because it is just such a mind bogglingly big ship. To model it, then texture it, tweak it etc is just sooooooo much work. Don't take my criticism too harshly but I'm not even going to start my second map until my current one is finished. The expression of biting off more than you can chew is a little relevant to this situation

I think some one posted some wip pictures of a Nimitz class carrier model (Yet to be optimized and textured) and he also had been working on some basic elements like the Catapult and the arresting wire.
Not sure if he's contuining that project. There must be a thread about it somewhere in the forums.

haha i must have been unclear in my post. I'm
not modelling a new carrier...
I am trying to make the objects on the ships as close to the stuff from the film.
NO NEW CARRIER. I would use the Iron Gator Essex but i don't think we are allowed

yes, use the Essex as it was meant to be used.

Well I have a map planned where I was going to use Harrier support so I guess it would be a pretty good placeholder. I was just worried that you wouldn't finish this as you packed on the workload
