This game LOOKS LIKE a mod from BF2. A guys claims it's the WoOkie sniper mod.
Implement it to the snipers in BF2, along with bigger draw distance (they made a huge draw-distance map in AIX... is one with a nighthawk and MECs I think... they said "the draw distance has been increased and doesn't matter what is you graphic setting. If you can't handle this map, you have to upgrade your system" or something like that) and a 2x AR magnifier instead of 4x and a bigger bulletdrop.

---
-Bigger sniper bulletdrop (realism)
-Scope adjustments for snipers (realism)
-Increased draw distance (more sniper positions away from battlefield)
-Bigger bulletdrop for AR (anti-sniper-sniping-with-an-AR)
-Less magnification for AR (anti-sniper-sniping-with-an-AR)

:-D hope it aint a resugestion, I searched for "sniper" on search the forum and didn't come any threads with a relevant title...

Realistic bullet dynamics has been discussed, basically your choices are (iircc)

1) **** bullet physics but you can have a mix of ball and tracer rounds.
2) bullet physics with all rounds as tracers
3) bullet physics with no rounds as tracers

There's a poll somewhere about this (can't remember the results), and the CAS minimod - which is a mod of PR - has integrated the "all tracer, bullet physics" option

edit: just watched the video, that's a bf2142 mod rather than bf2.. Although the wookie sniper mod does something similar and that's a bf2 minimod.

I think the scope adjustments are quite difficult to get right, wookie sniper mod managed it but it didn't handle anything but 4:3 aspect ration very well (this may be solved by the 1.5 patch?). You may be able to get it aligned in the sights 3d model but it would take a lot of work and I doubt that's a priority as I don't think the devs have plans to put in realistic bullet drop as of yet.

Auto Rifle is not for counter sniping. It has the scope to put in percise fire on locations, to give your squad effective cover. Marksmen is for picking off targets, again not meant for anti sniping, but you can get away with it. The current magnification for AR is prefecto. Nothing is wrong with it. The current bullet drop for the sniper rifles is quite good, and changing it is picking hairs. Changing what you have put down, is something i am sure is not on top of the Devs list.

1) The video posted is of a BF2142 mod
2) While much of what is posted in that video is doable, in BF2 weapon sway is impossible, and all rounds must be tracer / non-tracer for Ballistics to work, otherwise they follow different drop patterns meaning tracers are worse than useless (giving you a false sense of bullet drop).
3) Scope zeroing IS possible with the BF2 engine (IE see Wookie sniper mod)
4) Hopefully using the Q-rose should allow one to adjust the scope.
-Bigger bulletdrop for AR (anti-sniper-sniping-with-an-AR)
-Less magnification for AR (anti-sniper-sniping-with-an-AR)
Why would you make such counter-productive changes to detract from realism? The AR is fine as it is. I've had a firefight with a sniper team which we couldn't locate for about 30 minutes in the hills on Muttrah, which was able to keep us pinned and often wounded (though we were able to get revived continually unfortunately :( ). When we had them located, it still took us a hell of a time to get them, took us the combined use of the HAT, LMG and suppressive fire. At that point however they should have spent the time to have realocated rather than have continued their firefight.

Snipers shouldn't have their position revealed. If it is, it's not that they're doing anything wrong, but staying there and allowing themselves to be fired upon by ARs is wrong. Relocate yourself continually to confuse the enemy and leave yourself as uncompromised as possible.

hmm... I read LOTS of reports of snipers getting killed by MGs. Never happened to me cuz I never snipe for real... I like action (and lead people into action!). But you know! I used the AR and I love it. But if the snipers aren't getting killed that often by AR, leave it as it is  .

So... zeroing-in IS possible??
the real balistics all tracers/no tracers are for individual weapons right?

So I suggest make no tracers/real balistics/zeroin-in for snipers. The rest leave it alone. Snipers, try not to get seen so you don't get wet... by LEAD!!!

Resuggestion. Plus this is a 2142 video and therefore the engine is different and can't be compared to PR.
