[0860/0874] Breachable gates - LOD problem

Description:
While playing with low geometry, the breachable gates on maps such as Fallujah or Konrengal valley do not have their lock modeled, and can therefore not be shot at and breached. Note that the breachable doors with the handles do not fall prey to this problem, as their handle is still clear.

Steps to reproduce:
Turn geometry in your video options on low, and approach the breachable gates on any map featuring them, and you will see the problem immediately.

God damn low geometry....ok I'll have to put that on a list. might not change it as it will require allot of maps to re-lightmap.

anyways SHOULDnt be hard to fix... bbut I aint aDEV :(

its not that its hard to fix....quite easy. Its that because the model will be updated each mapper will have to re lightmap those statics.

I didn't quite understand lods....well the implementation of them in bf2 at least correctly at the time. Sorry guys.

Nimise,

If you look into the centre (with your gpx up higher) there is a thin slit between the 2 sides of the door , in that gap you can make out the piece of wood that you can see from the rear, shooting that piece of wood opens/breaches the door.

Some gates are locked, some are barred and some are held by two logs in the back side. Do as I do - grapple over the gate, shoot one of the logs and the gate will open. Simple.

Add: Since someone brought up increasing the graphics, as anyone else experianced frequent crashes if all of the the graphics are set to high? On those settings I crash every time I enter a server, so most of my seetings have to be kept at medium. A fix? Anyone?

Yeah i have the same problems about 3 runds on server and CTD
