When being an SL your going to need transport with your squad regaurly.

So when for example a cache has been destryoed but their is some reaminig insurgents still shooting at the squad and the planned LZ was where the cache was the LZ has got to be changed as it is too hot. So as the SL has power to put a extraction marker on the map for pilots to see he can only choses where the marker wants to be at the postion of where he is.

So what about making the SL being able to click on any where on the map for the extraction. With the extraction marker showing up on the map so an SL dosent have to type a big long senteance to the pilot telling to change plan.

This could also come handy when a new squad member joins the squad but is on the other side of the map. Usalluy the pikots wont be always be looking at the a team chat and wont pdo somthing unles it has a marker near it. Most of the time when there is no chopper that is goning pick the guy up the sl will say die and spawn on the RP. But now the SL can put the marker on the squad member so choppers will pick him up.

Just while im here how do you make POLLS?!?! and why is there hardly any other suggestions this is usally full with suggestions.

I agree it would be nice to be able to place that marker, although you can always give grid coordinates or have your commander relay the command for now.

*I think the request currently fudges the system by spawning an invisible item at your feet to base the marker on, so doing it at a distance may not be possible with the current system.

I suggested something similar to your idea (about Squad Leaders being able to place their own markers on the map) and dbzao had this to say:

Only R-Team members can make polls, it prevents people from making really stupid polls. We clean up the suggestions section often to prevent clutter so thats why there are not lots of threads.

WELL well DBZAO was right.

The extract marker is just like a CO marker (can be seen by the whole team). But only the CO may place it.

Besides, you always have green smoke (LZ) and red/orange smoke (ABORT!!)

LOL dont think so.

Just remember to pop smoke when the helicopter is near and tell them what color to be looking for....if you pop smoke to early you can give away your position to artillery which only takes 8 minutes to zone in (IRL)

Also pilots should bwe able to see extraction requests just like normal markers, in-game. Not just on the map.

could there be a way around it if the squadleader asked for exaction (like an artillery strike) and then the commander confirmed it which would send a notification to all people with the pilot kit "Move to this position"

Thats one thing i hate PR markers when pilots it really puts down the realism on the game i would love for it to be removed for pilots in helis.
