Hello. my first post on this forum.

I have a problem with the insallation of pr v0.87

I played 0.86 but I formated my computer about one day before the new patch came out.

now, when I was going to install 0.87 I installed core and levels, but when I was going to install patch I got an error message.

I read in 0.87 installation guide, but I didn't quite understad what to do.

the message I got said that I had to install 0.86, but now I can't find 0.86 anywhere..

I would be happy if you could give me some help.

try to install pr like this BF2 + 1.41 + PR 0.86 core + 0.86 levels + 1.5 + patch 0.87

Err, you only need to install v0.87 Core + Levels. The patch is only if you have v0.86 already installed, which from what you said, you no longer had.

Or are you saying you had installed v0.86 Core + Levels, then tried to install the v0.87 Patch?

In general:
Patch if you have the previous version installed
Core + Levels if you do not have the previous version installed.

mmm right sorry... its just how I installed it... and it worked just fine..

and T-moad download the patch 0.87 thats why im saying that...

he doesn't have 0.87 core and 0.87 levels.. it'll be borin to download all core and levels again.. instead of a 14mb patch

I have not installed 0.86, just 0.87 core and levels, I also have bf2 1.41 and 1.5

but, when I try to enter pr it doesn't work.. maybe I'll try to re install everything

well you need to install 0.87 patch aswell mate, then it will work.

to make pr work you need

1. BF2 1.41 + 1.5 Patch Installed.
2. PR 0.87 Core
3. PR 0.87 Levels
4. PR 0.87 Patch
and then update Punkbuster etc..

I removed everything and installed it once more in this order

bf2, 1.41. 1.5 0.87 core, 0.87 levels. 0.87 patch (which acually worked now) and I am pretty sure I have netframework 3.5..

but now when I click the pr icon it doesent work "pr.exe has stopped working" I have also tried to run as admin"

I feel helpless lol

hmm have you made sure you have updated all drivers correctly after you reformatted ur comp?

Do you have SP2 on your Vista? Or SP3 and updates on XP?

ah lol.. noobish of me, but I forgot to install sp when I reformated my computer, well I did now and it's working perfectly. thank you mate
