the weirdest thing ever

ok its not that wierd but a bit strange and worrying for the future, well i wanted to open sony vegas and accidently clicked on pr shortcut, so i awaited the message saying please insert disk etc, and guess what? no frickin message came up the game ran without cd inserted should i be worried? has this happend for anyone else?

1.5 patch removed the need to insert your Cd...

woot no more replacing broken disks, i am on my 4th copy of bf2 because they keep breaking in the centre when i take them out of the box

wow man, how did u manage that? :shock: do u remove them from the box with a hammer? ;)

On Topic: My bf2 cd has been in my disk drive for the last 3 months so i did not even notice it..

Why not take image from your disk so you never have to use it again. Not even when reinstalling?

yea im on my 3rd disk because of that happening - not gonna happen anymores though :D

Nah, the no-cd part is most likely really tiny.
It's the included booster packs(Armoured Fury + Euro Forces) and the new map that makes up most of the size.

Which was a waste of my hard drive since i owned all of em anyways

I hate how they didnt make a smaller patch for ppl who already owned the Expansion packs

Instructions for extracting disk from case

1. Open case
2. Locate disk
3. Locate center button
4. Press center button
5. Remove disk, takeing care no to touch silver surface or SNAP THE DAMN THING

This is for everyone who somehow manages to snap there disks... ive never snaped one... coz im good

mines stays in there for monthes, and if i play a game, i put it on the table beside me, whene im done,i put bf2 back into the cd tray and the game i was playing back in its box =P

one of theses things is to be back for bf2 after a while being away.. but again dont feel any changes in 1.5 as not too enthusiastic about the shot accuracy of a rifle but really interested how it is written in python ))
