Recoil that pushes the screen back, if that makes sense?!

I cant remember the game, I think it was Call of duty 2 and Im not sure if its in PR already, maybe on some weapons, what Im talking about is adding, while firing, recoil that makes the screen push back for an instant. Understand what I mean? In real life the rifle recoil, while firing, pushes the force back into the shoulder making your upper body, and head, push back. For me, I think its a very importent detail so you can really feel the vibe of the gun. Can this be done?

There is already recoil on all weapons in-game...

Do you mean have the recoil make the sight appear bigger/the weapon appear to come towards you rather than just moving side to side? Or the other way round?

If so that smells hardcoded to me.

The screen, what you see that is, is somehow supposed to be your eyes right? In PR, the weapon is the only thing thats reacting to the recoil, the screen should also react from the force, makin the screen bounce back, not much, but just for a quick moment, you understand me? This way it gives so much more feeling to it. And not only that, it should be there. I have always thought its not there because of hardcoded.

Well afaik when you throw the AT-4 to the ground its part of the firing animation, so you could maybe make it part of the firing animation?

as far as i know it should be possible to make the camera move upon firing animations. remember that the camera moves during reload animations too so should definitly be possible, not sure how effektive it would be though

Hard to tell, but from what I see its only the effects of the recoil going up and left and right on most weapons. I dont know, can someone verify.

Your eyes don't have to necessarily be taken away from your target when experiencing recoil.

Thats not the issue. I think the effect is there in zoom, atleast looks like it, however not on the ironsights one, hard to tell.

Repaired your link.

I dont think it is so awesome.
I can only see the gun moving backwards...

Sweet video. Thats my point really, good example of video. As you can see the view is not reacting at all, atleast what it looks like, its just the gun that moves back. Anyone knows if this is able to do or be considered doing at all? Holler back.

Now, Ive never fired a bigger rifle or had arms training. But i assume that youre trained to focus better, as in keeping your eyes on the target even during recoil. If the weapon pushes your shoulder and then your upper body, sure you would look upwards, but its then you should focus and keep the eyes sort of "out of contact" with the push. I would think its unrealistic for trained soldiers to have their sight pushed upwards opun recoil. Unless i really misunderstood your suggestion.

Thank you.

I liked it because of the fast shaking in the gun.

The video caps the frame rate at about 29.97fps, and combined with a drop in resolution, the effects of the recoil are not as noticeable. But you will definitely feel the difference ingame.

I know what you are trying to suggest...in simple words : when recoil occurs, screnn un-zooms for a brief moment as your head bumps back...

as seen in this video with m249 i think its very close
