After turning my computer on today i noticed a weird sound coming from the back of my monitor. Its a little hard to explain but it kinda of sounds like my computer is passing gas , it is just a quick sound and only happens every few minutes. Is my monitor dieing? I have left it unplugged for a few hours now and just recently turned it back on and so far it has not made any sounds? Ive tried some other forums asking for help but all i got was someone trying to sell me my dream home in India.

My monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 226BW(Digital) 22".

If ya need any more info lemme' know.

my friend before 2 months had the same problem but is gone now, wait a few days/weeks if problem continue replace it

leave ur monitor off for a couple of days
and see if it just needed a rest lol

Alright i left it unplugged for a couple days, it seems alright now. I think it was just because the power cord to the back of the monitor had gotten loose some how, thanks for the help .
