recent photos have surfaced from rehersals for the massive national parade this thursday of many PLA vehicles sporting brand new snazzy digital camo paintjobs, hope the DEVs find this useful.











also wish to point out in the pic above of the new Dongfeng hummers that are now undoubtedly in service, possibly make a few changes to the US humvees so we can finally say goodbye to the icecream truck still in the game (nanjing)



in addition, some early pics of the new J10B that should be seen flying in the parade







main differences are the redesigned engine intakes and tailfins, larger nose cone, new electronic warfare pods and an overall sleeker design possibly to reduce radar cross section, dunno if thats enough to warrant an entire overhaul of the vbf2 model tho.

expect more PLA news this thursday and a TON of new hardware, maybe even the rumoured Type 95G. i'll try and keep this updated

The J-10b is interesting, aint heard of it myself before but dont think it justifies a new model

ALL branches will be taking part in the parade, it will be one of the largest displays of military hardware and goosestepping soldiers in recent times, TIME says there will be around 200,000 performers (a bit large if you ask me). the entire show is being directed by the same guy that did the beijing 2008 olympics opening and closing ceremonies

the parade is a once in a decade event so its pretty special every time it happens

Yup, they even have a slot for the militia... which is made up of all young, tall, beautiful ladies, half of whom are models.

improvements would include; improving the ergonomics (especially the fire selector), changing the poor ironsights, heavier barrel, more modularity regarding accessories (RAILZ) and chamber it for a new round to double the effective range to 800m and improve penetration power. (note: most of these are speculation and guesswork so take it with a grain of salt at least until tomorrow)

interesting to note that according to the lead designer, they were given just 2 and a half years to create the type 95 from scratch and rush it to operational service. which is mighty impressive if you compare the development time to say, the OICW which has taken more than 20 years and billions only to turn up with the xm25.

its only for the parade, makes the vehicles look more formal when travelling in a formation
