Hi.

how come punkbuster dont want to update itself in PR?

works fine in all other BF games, but in PR it says Iam running a old server version of punkbuster, and manually update doesnt work at all. Well, it says that it updated to newest version, but not in PR, only in BF2.

After about 2-5 min in the map, I get disconnected by Punkbuster course of the "old" version

Anybody know how/if its possible to update only PR in punkbuster, and not BF2 only?

PB should use the same version for BF2, regardless if you're playing vBF2, PR or any other mods.

Have you tried joining different servers?

And also try manually updating PB.

yes, have tried everything, including reinstall all 5+ times, nothing seems to fix the issue:/

when i manually update punkbuster, it seems to do the job, but PR doesnt get the update, only all other games i have, that use punkbuster, works, and update fine, only PR doesnt wanna get the update right...

Its a shame, since i only paid for BF2 to play PR... but lesson learned i guess... hehe, or anybody know what to do?

Sure you updated Battlefield 2 PB?

I could only manually update with BF/PR off!

try that; when BF/PR is running impossible to finish the PB update .

Punkbuster in annoying me aswell. It has some weird errors. Like heartbeat stopped and handshaking failed. Like WTF? lol?

Make sure you have your PB installing files dowloaded to your computer aswell as all BF2 files and PR files.

1. Take your internet cable off rom your computer

2. Open your pr.exe

3. ctrl+alt+del and kill process of PB A and PB B when your PR is open after this allso kill BF2.exe
4. Delete your PB files MANUALLY from folder they are installed dont use anykind of uninstalling.

5. uninstall BF2 and reinstall BF2 and PR files.

6. Install PB files

7. Connect your computer to internet and run PB updater (you can find this from PB's homebage I bet you have used it)

8. Make sure you firewall is not blocking use of PB updater and after install make sure its not blocking PB A and PB B

9. Vola have fun while playing PR and go straight away to online training servers to train your piloting skills

Trick is just to do all stuff offline so PB cant connect out That is know bug what can happen reason is just that PB missfires one packet installation and forgets to rename its version.
