Can the PR team consider bringing back ironsights to the SAW (in the same way that we now have selectable officer ironsight/scope kits)?

If I recall the DEV's are going to do this for 0.9, with every requestable kit having a ironsight version (selected by left click for optics, right click for iron sights). The exception to this would be crewman/pilot.

tho ill still be using the scope version as the CQB mode on that is amazingly effective.

i vote for a red dot scope on it, would be much better to be able to keep tracers hitting the target at longer ranges, since you don't have anything to obscure your view. don't know what we are planning though

Aww hope I'll be able to choose iron sights over aimpoint..

Firstly, this has been suggested and discussed several times already.

Secondly, there is a reason that you can't post in the suggestions section yet. Swat up on some of the already discussed topics and use the search function.

Thirdly, welcome to the forums.

As the most efficient user of the AR kit that I've met, Naruto suggested the exact same thing a while ago, in the correct suggestion section of the forums too:
