Hit reg is screwed

Bf2 got the worst hit reg iv ever seen in a game, yet since this 1.50 patch has come out it now so bad for me, i have to unstall PR and BF2 after a few uses, just to get my hit reg to work because if i don't i ether get 1-3 or 1-5 shot actually registering a hit.

Im wondering if things are this bad for every one else?.

In PR you have to wait few seconds while you aim your gun to actually hit there where the gun is aiming at, else bullets are not going to hit exactly there where you are aiming at. Also if you walk and aim same time, you aint gonna hit anything.

wow i had such a good come back too that post, It was really really funny, But because i don't want to get banned I can say it.... :( .

The fact is im shotting AND hitting them, yet my hit's are no longer registering i just get a puff of smoke= no damage.

OP is right, sometimes very weird things happen, Black Hawks surviving 3 direct sabot hits from T-72 is not something what wonders me recently, and those shots are hitting model for sure, because when you miss- round goes away, when you hit- you see splash

Rhys what server do you normally play on? If it isn't an Australian one I'm guessing your lag will be awful and you won't be able to hit anything properly.

Hit reg depends heavily on ping, though I have noticed an improvemt in 1.5 especially things like air to air cannons. But I have a ping usually 90-100 which is what bf2 compensates for by default iirc.

Yeah thats most likely ping then, i only have problems hitting enemy head when shooting from side and hes in prone position, everything else is fine for me atleast. What is your ping normally ?

Hitfixer 2.0

i don't care if some of you say it's placebo, since i always get excellent registration with it at any ping...

never heard of hit reg fix however i use tweakguides little edit of the usersettings, editing this line:

SettingsManager.U32Set GSInterpolationTime 100

to

SettingsManager.U32Set GSInterpolationTime 50 or 30 (i use 30)

although im not actually sure it does anything, im pretty sure i have good hit reg. also i normally have a ping of 13 heh :)

maybe ill try out that hit reg fix..

^^ But serously, what is your ping? Bf2 does not have a lag compensator like source games, and the grey puff of smoke is when your computer beleives the enemy is at a position he really isnt due to the "lag" effect.

now this one confuses me...why would his ping be awful on an aussie server if he is from 'own under

Yeh, bf2 hitreg is the pits.

What's your screen resolution and refresh rate? I've always suspected they play a part.

I've not used hit fixer in a long time, I really think its a placebo tbh and I wasn't sure if it was fair.

1200x960, refresh is 40-60 rounld about.

Im not sure the screen resoluton or the refresh rate has any thing to do with hit reg, but then again i don't know.

It mostly just ping, that is the course of the problem,

It just does that for you with proper values (also, there are more values it changes than just that one in attempt to help fix things up for you).

According to someoneorrather it does nothing, but I've always felt a warm feeling inside knowing that my hitreg is 'trying' to be fixed.
