[Help] Issues with texturing.

Hi,
I'm begining texturing with photoshop CS4.
I'm actually working on a 92 FS reskin which will be the pistol of our faction (the right name of the French one is PAMAS, it's the same gun built under licence by froggies).
As I don't know all the techniques yes, I worked on a former reskin done by REQUIN, I want to make it more realistic, adding scratches, etc.
ATM, I am only working on making cleaner the texture (because bf2 skin was really...).
I have some issues with lighting in game. I will show you some pics.
I tested it with PRSP.

As you can see, the brightness is not the same when you change of position. (don't take care of the points on the gun, it was a test to know what part is, etc...
I don't know why the gun is too bright in some places...
I have tried to darken the texture file (approximatively at the same level as PR ones), but the problem is still here.

If someone could solve my problem... :)

Hope my english is enough clear.

True :p

On topic, maybe ask a Dev, he might know the answer, if you don't want to wait for a reply, PM one of 'm, I think they'll put you through to the right guy ;)

Did you save the texture file as DXT5 in the dds file options, making sure to preserve the alpha channel?
Also you can adjust the brightness on the alpha channel to make the gun less shiny..( Darker = less shiny).
If that doesn't work try adjusting in the alpha channel in the _b file...

Works fine now.
Thank you very much. :D

BTW, if someone has problems when saving texture file in .dds with an error message saying "too many channels(5)" or sorta, save your texture in .tif after in .dds, it should work fine.
