Hey all,
Ive been playing PR for a while, like a year maybe. On and off, but anyways. I only have like 10 memorable games from that time.

This is because in those, I was in a squad where everyone communicated, followed orders etc, and there was also a kick *** medic.

All the other games I end up in a team full of noobs! Which is starting to drive me mad. Yes, we are all noobs once, but:

I really want to just play in squads that really work well together, so I was wondering if anyone could let me know if they are part of any groups that play frequently as squads, and if i could join in some time!

Find a engvoip/infvoip etc, or any squad whit voip in it, hold on it for a while and see if the squads communicating and working together and spawn

Sorry dude, don´t know such an english speaking squad but its helpful to concentrate on just 1 or 2 server often you get some good people to know playing just on that current one.

Thats usually what I do, but most of the time I join those, and no one actually has voip, or people have only joined it because its the only unlocked squad etc.

Reality Teamwork usually often has good players on it, also uses mumble. Quite some servers host passworded nights as well, like Tactical Gamer. You'll have a better chance of finding more experienced players there i think .

I'd suggest joining a clan or community. Just gain access to a TS with a load of guys who are good players and log into it every time you want to play. That's what I do in any case, pubbing FTL.

Play on the same server over and over and you'll figure out who the regulars are, squad up with them and your bound for some good rounds. Or any clan squad that will let you in.

Have you thought about creating your own squad? I usually get pretty good results with very little effort, start by checking everyone joining for VoIP, instruct them not to go for any leet sniper kits (or most others for that matter without permission), and give instructions and keep control over them in combat and during transitions. Just last week I had the same strangers in my squad for almost three maps straight, including Kashan, making it a pretty lengthy session of great squad play.

Of course, there will still be those not willing to communicate, not willing to listen to orders (especially sniper kits wise) and such, but at least as a squad leader you can instruct them better, and if necessary warn and kick them out.

The thing is, I have to admit, im not the best squad leader. Im much better off being infantry, or whatever role they give me etc. I do better following lead.

Ahh the best way to learn to SL is to do it! TBH I hate being an SM because my nature now is I can't stand listening to someone else(puberty I suppose) and I love to SL, yet I'm not brave enough to CO yet.

Back on-topic: One of these threads pops up every now and then and the general consensus is you were once a noob and needed help to learn the game as well and the PR community is portrayed as elitist towards new players. Anywho this post made no sense to me, if it makes sense to someone thats my two cents.

you must be picking the wrong servers ??:
every game i have played there is always a decent squad to join.

Find a clan to play with or go to a clan server and join one of their squads.

And yes we all feel you on the recent surge of newb players screwing things up. But as Natural Selection goes, the ones that stay are the new PR players while the ones that leave go back to their COD type (not that COD series are not bad but just saying)

Some Great clans to play with are:
Hardcore
UMA
RRF
uFear

and some others.. I would add the other clans name, but have not played with or against them in a while

Rogue is just the man of quotes recently. We have been studying Natural Selection in our Sciences.

Yeah, you should try the Reality Teamwork servers, they are EPIC, and with Mumble, uber epic

OP for some reason people from UK have been the most helpful to me in game.

well mate like you i don't feel that confident in SL'ing and perform better as a SM, it took me a while to learn and get to know people on the servers and now i'm a member of a clan with a great bunch of guys, who make the PR experience all the better.

get some match time on some of the popular servers like tactical gamer (TG), reality teamwork (RT), UKwarfare (UKWF) and the others and get to know some of the regular gamers, there are plenty of us and get yourself known.

keep an eye out for the clan tags and try to join their squads, don't be offended if you sometimes get kicked to make room for other members tho, and learn and the next thing you know, you will be falling further down the rabbit hole that is PR.

oh and get on the R-COM community events if you can, most of these matches have alot of teamwork and some crazy moments

Without noobs PR will have no future. If you have a noob in a squad, just teach him the ropes and in a few games you have a great squad member. I'll take any noob over some tard any day of the week.
