Security Camera system

By 'Secrurity Camera system', I mean a series of cameras around a part of a map that connect to a 'terminal'.

Whoever controls the terminal would have the technical advantage of knowing where enemies area in a specific area. Imagine ingame, walking around and seeing a camera following your movements.

I'd make it a fixed vehicle (im not making this), you enter like any other vehicle. When you enter you are sitting in a chair at a desk of screens, when you change the vehicles 'weapon', you will see though the eyes of one of the cameras.
The terminal would look like this:

This would work much like the gunner for the attack choppers. When you enter you can move your head and look around the cockpit, when you change the weapon, you go to the eyes of the weapon camera.

The cameras would work exactly the same as the guns on the attack choppers too (exept you wont be able to shoot), and each weapon slot has its own camera.

The cameras themselves would be visable, and could be seen moving, much like the mini guns on the attack choppers.
The cameras would look like this:

The problem is, each camera system would probably have to be custom made to each map.

As you can see, i've thought well and hard on this and all the details.
The only reason im not making this myself is because I dont know how, and I dont have the time, so I dont mind if anyone turns the idea into reality. ;)

Its a good idea, I just can't see it being used, and it will just take one more person off the battlefield....

Good idea for insurgent maps. I agree that it shouls somehow be incorporated into the commander role. Then he has both the cameras and the UAV which should be a significant advantage. The insurgents seems to win a little bit to much in 0.87 so this might even playfield a little.

i suppose for maps with industrial facilities like al kufrah and muttrah this idea would have a lot of ground , but i don't see it happening for other maps

Anyways the commander has enough on his plate right now, IF he is doing his job right. The problem about putting it in Insurgency is that is would be more like that the Insurgents have it than BLUfor

If it ain't hardcoded it could be pretty interesting to try out. Sneaking around cameras could be a cool. Though they shouldn't be "overnumbered". BTW Kandala docks looks great.

or deploy them, so they are not in the same place every time. you could put cameras outside your forward base, and stay in the bunker to view them.

if the commander is too busy, then maybe only those with officer kit could operate the camera system.

man, having camera's reminds me of playing Goldeneye... i shot those so much in game that when I saw them in real life, I would think to myself, "I need to shoot that.".. :-)

good idea, but give it to the commander, so he will have two command posts, or one command post with UAV slot and Cameras slots

You have UAV, when friendly dorces clear a building, they sitrep and you can observe the surrounding area wuth the UAV if somebody is comming...

Thats all you need, no fancy Bond gadgets.
