This is my problem.



This sounds like an easy fix but Mine was already updated and it keeps giving me this error.


This is my:
target: "D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe"

start in: "D:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\battlefield 2\mods\pr"

I've trired uninstalling and reinstalling but I still get the same thing.

Try adding :
start +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1
to your shortcuts 'target'
Like this:
"D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

Or for the full Monty
"D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start /AFFINITY 2 +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1600 +szy 1200 +restart +playerName xxxx +playerPassword xxxx

replace +szx 1600 +szy 1200
with the resolution you want to run the game @
replace the xxxx with your info to auto log on to the server browser

Sorry its a no go.
I tried both methods and it comes up witht he same error again

looks like devs did not plan on steam when they brought out the last patch:
a dev was looking into this thread - looks like you have to wait for the next patch

Damn, that is lame. 0.87 just came out recently so I'm guessing everyone who has bought BF2 on steam has to wait for the next patch which probably will come out in a few weeks or month.

Well a possible work around, once you have a online account, would be to re-download the BF2 app from EA. Patch with 1.41 and 1.5, then install the PR .87 core and levels?

Well I've tried that also. When I bought it off steam it came installed with the 1.5v.
I tried alot of method and had some friends helping me out but so far nothing has worked.
