No sound output in mumble problem

The problem im having with mumble is that i cant hear anything anyone else is saying, no matter how close/far away they are if my mumble has linked with BF2.
My mumble worked fine before hand but suddenly stopped working yesterday. Also another problem that has occurred at the same time was that the rooms take a lot longer to load then they used to. The only thing I did on mumble yesterday was change my name on it so it was [Lancer]Pedz rather than just Pedz. Also the D-day event i joined in on (although I couldn't hear a thing, or if i did it was about 20mins later.)

I will say the things I've already done to try to fix it.

- Checked output so it is my speakers
- Re-installed mumble

Thanks for any help even if it doesn't work :P

i bound keys to adjust the volume, and started wondering, why everybody seemd so oversaturated - i checked the "Volume" under "Output" and turned out it kept going to 200% - turned out i kept pressing the "Vol +10%" button

check if your volume (mumble -> configure -> settings -> Audio output -> Volume) is at 100% and not 0% and make sure you aren't pressing your "Vol -10%" button unwillingly

I had the same problem as yours, I lose my sound and find a red x over my sound icon. Then I get the error message "no audio output device is installed

I found the solution at Answers to the dreaded No audio output device installed |

I hope it helps.
