Afer all those new updates and patches so have the pistol got new nice animations etc. but the new updates and patches did the pistol weaker I was an active pistol user on PR before, but I cant trust it anny more, and many guys I play with discovered that also, when they played as snipers. When you need to use all of your 13 bullets in your L9 to kill a *****, so are there a problem. Before it was a way easier, and the pistol was more powerfull.

Whats needed in a new patch/update:
- increase the pistol damage
- fix the G3, its hard to hit targets thats more then 10m away. especially with the iron sight. if you play as mec on f.ex. Asad will you be raped by a British rifleman with iron, the G3 have to bad accuracy on long distance targets.

Thats the only two things I dislike, but all other weapons are nice, and I can remmerber that before the new patch with the fixes on the G3 so was it a way better, the nice new thing is that you will not end up with pinting the roof after using full auto.

Well good work so far, im looking forward to some new maps/factions in comming patches/updates.

The point of modern body armour is to stop ALL calibers of pistol bullets, so you should be thankful it only takes about 5 shots to kill someone. Also I find the MEC barely needs the Marksman kit with the scoped G3's, and iron sight G3's on maps like Muttrah absolutely rape, it only takes a couple shots to drop someone and the G3's iron sights aren't that bad. I really don't see what you're complaining about. Also watch your language because there are some youngers users on this board.

Having trouble with the G3 recoil is normal, just keep practicing and you will get the swing of it, it not as good in CQB as other rifles, but it got good stoping power, and one of the best iron sights in game.

I do agree they need to none down the buck on the G3's but it unlikely it going to happen it been like that for at least a year already.

1) Being an active pistol user isn't something to advertise or be proud of... Pistols need to be removed from PR as they encourage noobs to get trigger happy.

3) The pistol was weakened because modern body armour is made to stop rounds from pistols.. This also prevents noobs from pistol spamming, There is a reason that the pistol is a side-arm and not a primary weapon!

I think that we have a language translation thing going on there mate.

The G3 is absolutely fine imo, imo all rifles could get an accurace increase just a smidge, but its balanced against the other nations nicely.

the pistol, I have stopped using it unless I have no ammo it is pretty accurate, but the power is pretty ****. I don't know how realistic thatis, so I'll just go with the DEV's incarnation.

Don't blame other for your inability to take full advantage of the tools provided ingame.

Adapt, survive, overcome. This is a competitive game, the objective is to win. If that involves employing weapons or tactics that are "cheap" or "unrealistic" in your eyes, so be it.

First rule of any game - there is no such thing as "cheap" within the rules of the game. If it isn't cheating, its perfectly legit.

G3 not accurate enough?? Maybe if you're shooting with it while running, using full auto and you aren't sighted in. If you had even thought how the gun works ingame you could easily hit targets over 200m away with ironsites.

I also strongly disagree there, Bob. I would say the teamwork and a fair and fun game is much more important than actually winning. I don't think my objective is to take full advantage of the tools provided ingame. I see it less as a sport and more simulative I guess. Even though I know this is not a milsim.
Must be all the roleplaying, but I think winning isn't important.

But that's totally off topic, sorry.

As far as the G3 goes, I also think it is a very good weapon, especially on long range. I don't even think the deviation is any different from the other assault rifles, just the power (and recoil) are higher.

And the pistols... they are no primary weapons. I found it so stupid how in BF2 vanilla, the pistol was more accurate and about just as strong as assault rifles. They're supposed to be worse than other guns.

Are you serious?!

Tell you what makes me get trigger happy, my M16. Yes thats right. It should be removed!

G3 vs M16 => Fair, as they both suck in CQB. (take a crewman kit if u wanna own in CQB as MEC)
G3 vs L85 => L85 rapes G3.

Edit: G3 is epic at long range, even if u hit ur enemy once, he will bleed to death if there's no medic nearby, this is "balanced" by its huge recoil, + the G3 looks badass!

We can agree to disagree It is a matter of opinion but i am quite strongly against pistol spamming noobs. By all means use them in CQC but i can't stand the people who think they are unstoppable-magical-longrange-hiteverything guns..

No, but seriously, the pistol I've not really used in a while. Is it really that weak? I remember dropping two guys with it in under 10 shots at a range of about 10m in game.

G3 is fine. Good rifle, just weird sounding.

Scorpion rocks only because of its sound, nothing else is good in it.

Ive killed with the pistol even in .87 with as little as three shots.

Although I don't mind some sportsmanship, but it's frustrating to be on the receiving end either way.

I already killed 3 guys under 10 meter with a burst.
Its a kickass CQC Weapon!

the G3 is also very capable in CQB (G3 irons > everything.)
