As the title says so (probaly not proper english), why doesn't the taliban have mounted stingers (or other AA rockets)? Probaly the most you think why, they get overpowered and how would they get it. The CIA supplied the mudjahedien with aa weapons during the russian-afghanistan war. The main reason to supply the mudjahedien was because of the cold war,
Cold War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, they got a lot of rocket proppelled aa weapons such as the stinger to take out the russian hinds. But the mudjahedien isn't the taliban. After the russian-afghanistan war, there was a civil war between the taliban and that other guys. The taliban won that civl war, and took the remaining weapons of the mudjahedien. So why doesn't the taliban have mounted stingers. Just a mounted s7 would be good. But there has to be a limit of 3/4 stingers in a map, before they get too overpowered.

'why don't the Taliban have'
And Taliban got requestable kits which means only two AAs per any map.

I doubt that the argon gas bottles used for cooling the seekers can survive decades of storage.
"Newer" MANPADS brought in from ex-soviet states seem more likely than stingers IMO.

Stinger uses argon? i dont see a problem with coolant(one element gas is not something that can rot) but i heard that its electric battery which has limited service life

I think he means the container of a pressurised gas is unlikely to survive ~25 years with almost no servicing. Also I think you are right about the batteries, but they could probably get replacements if they really wanted.
To be honest I don't think insurgent factions should get MANPADS at all, they just make choppers in insurgency maps useless. I want to see people shooting down blackhawks with an RPG-7, like real men.
