Manual Reload

One of the very small immersion factors of America's Army is the need to hit a key to reaload one's weapon. It really does cause some "o ****!" moments when your are going full auto and you hear that imfamous *click* *click* of an empty magazine. Automatic reloading makes the process of reloading one's weapon much shorter than it should be. That extra second it takes for someone to realize they are out of ammo really can make a difference in gameplay speed.

Manual reloading also makes life all that much more difficult for rambos who want to run right at you-full auto. There is already an option for manual reload, but I don't want to use it, as it would put me at a disadvantage in game. It should not be hard at all since the option is already there to make it the only option.

actually auto reload off is very usefull for guiding At rockets. I used to have problems with the rocket going dumbfire after I reloaded so the only option was to turn auto reload off. Yes it does lead to a few *Click click* moments resulting in death, but I rather enjoy myself being in controll of my reloading.

I thought you were meant in r/l to fire until the mag emptys then reload or am I totally in the wrong on that.

I meant to have to click the reload key once you empty your mag/clip.

haha, well hey he tries his best man... But I would be kind of slow too if i had to tell ppl all day that insta proning would be fixed. Thats got to get kind of tiring after the first few times you say it.

lol look harder... I think it is on the screen where you change the hud color/transparency. BF2s interface is way to clunky for my tastes.

Right, its in a little box that you can check off that says something like auto reload or seomthing stupid like that. Just press it, and your cool like me.

I've had it switched off for ages, it feels so much better having to reload manually. The only thing that I still have to get used to is the rockets, I always forget to reload a new one as I'm so used to it automatically changing, sometimes I end up with a *click* right at the wrong moment. I've done it as a sniper a few times too, I forget to count my shots and just as I line up the perfect headshot, *click*, then I have to go through the awkward reload by which time the target's out of my sight.

Despite this, I still love having it on manual reload, I hope it's made default so everyone who isn't yet doing it has to.

I would like to have the ability to change magazines without loosing the rounds still in the magazine that I replace. I prefer to use quiet moments to reload and be topped up for the next target or whatever happens. But since you loose the ammo its not such a good idea, especially if you are a sniper with limited rounds as it is.

I would love to see it forced to be off, and every one would have to manual reload but im pretty sure its not possibal and Req said even if it was he didnt want it to be in due to gameplay reasons.....
