black bleeding screen

Hello,

I've gone nuts when trying to solve this peculiar error.

My screen goes absolute black when bleeding severely. Well not totally, you can still spot the red blood stains on the screen, but otherwise its totally black. There's no way you can see nor do anything in this state.

found at least one topic regarding this issue, but there was no solution in it.
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... creen.html

I've tried to empty my cache folders and to optimize shaders again like several times. No help there.

Oh yeah, i do have 2x4890. So as far as i understand this is mainly ATI problem.

Any ideas?

ps. also tried it with different gfx drivers, didn't help either.

Thanks in advance.

You mean... the black and white vision? 'Cause that is supposed to happen when you're about to die :p .

No,

Here's a screenshot of the situation.

I don't really get to the whole "black and white" part, it just stays black you see :)

used to have nvidia card which worked correctly, so i do know what kinda picture i'm supposed to see.

If you still have trouble run battlefield cleaner to flush out your video cache files

Oh well,

this really limits my gaming and actually pushes me away from PR.

Lets see if this is somehow fixed via ATI drivers or by new version of project reality in future.

Have you tried turning off AA?
Textures to medium?
Just what do you run your game settings at?
The more info you can give the better your
chance of getting a quick answer back.
You don't have to write a book,
but your basic PC and game settings could be quite useful
to help figure out a fix that might work.

Good luck

I can try resetting texture quality into medium, but i think i've tried that before with no help. Haven't tested AA off.

My game settings overall is set to the highest possible.

PC:

core i7 920 D0
6gb mushkin memory
2x HD 4980 sapphire vapor X with 9.10 catalysts installed (tried a bunch of later drivers aswell to fix the problem, didn't help)
operating system windows 7 home premium 64-bit, version 6.1.7600

I have a hunch that this has to do with the catalysts or about using crossfire

Thanks a lot for your effort thepalerider
