First part of the article:
If you want to play Bohemias newest work, you should be very error tolerant. The title does not only suffer (also in the current version 1.04) on nose and serious technical weaknesses with AI, performance and physics. Also operation, weapon-handles and information transfer is habituation needy to useless. Which is to seem realistically, usually unfair is as in the reality. Additionally the inkonsequente presentation provides for noticeable breaks. A round player driving looks clearly differently. They must estimate a long training phase, much patience and selfinitiative, in order to penetrate to the qualities of the play, because the unofficial successor to operation Flashpoint comes to meet you everything else as. Reconciliation you become with (reduced) a close-to-reality play world, a merciless challenge those their resembling search (also and particularly in the Multiplayer) and many playful freedoms rewards. The atmosphere is clearly more rauer than with operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. In Arma 2 one has to in parts actually participate the feeling in a conflict, with which the own actions have consequences. Besides the Mod Community delivers always new contents subsequently. Nevertheless the title fails still to often because of the ambitious goals, which the play places itself.
Second part:
It is the” smaller “play, but it is also the play, which works well, usually even very well. As much one must hold Codemasters to property. But which uses the tendencyful diagram, the intensive engagements atmosphere, the nose-free expiration of play and the clevere AI, if after 11 missions the solo part is out and remains remaining you only Multiplayerschlachten on quite monotonous map. Surely, the control is precise and average players is better served with Codemasters Military Shooter than with Arma 2. nevertheless from the large ambitions, which had the developers for the play, is not much remaining. The bases are correct, but the Drumherum is missing. Who looks for military Multiplayerpartien, the Mod Project Reality gets more alternation and with Arma 2 the harder challenge with Battlefield 2 and. Who would like however the large military simulation with Story campaign, must bite either way into the sour apple and the agony named Arma 2 is enough in such a way over itself be issued to let, until it learns Bohemias work to love despite the lack.

That's cause the german in the article was a slightly different dialect.

"Wer militärische Multiplayerpartien sucht, bekommt mit Battlefield 2 und der Mod Project Reality mehr Abwechslung und mit Arma 2 die härtere Herausforderung. Wer hingegen die große Militärsimulation mit Story-Kampagne möchte, muss so oder so in den sauren Apfel beißen und die Qual namens Arma 2 so lange über sich ergehen lassen, bis er Bohemias Werk trotz der Mängel lieben lernt."

"If u are looking for military Multiplayerparties, you can get more variety with PR mod of BF 2,whereas with ARMA 2 you'll get a tougher/harder challenge. If u want a milsim story driven campaign ,you must bear pain ,called Arma 2,and let it torture you, untill u've learned to love the bohemias product, despite its flaws."

p.s:Well not the best translation ,but will do fine, untill something better posted :)
