Keypad system

Today, I was leading my squad when someone called out a grid coordinate, I marked it on the map, since he said keypad one I put the marker on keypad one, but he said no, thats keypad seven. He was using a telephone keypad system, while I was using my keyboard keypad.
So, just wondering, what does everyone here use? Telephone or number pad on the keyboard?

im sure the official is the keyboard for one reason..
if you look at the top right corner or your map, a1, on some maps, it is corded
789
456
123
on others there is nothing.
i allways use the keyboard numpad for my keypads.

Its the keyboard system, or at least that is the standard in PR. As bloodthirstty stated above, you can see (barely on some maps) the numbering in A1.

I agree with everyone who replied to this thread that said the official keypad designation is the numpad on the keyboard. If someone told me that they were using a telephone keypad I would have kicked them out of my squad. What is he playing on, an Iphone?

It is suppose to be like that on all maps, the numbers are just hard to see sometimes.

Everyone I've encountered has used the keyboard system like this:
789
456
123
I'm certain that's the correct one.

Not a good idea to screw up the two systems when flying transport choppers. Haha. But yeah the default should be the keyboard numbers.

So you would kick a perfectly good player just because he though you were supposed to use telephone keypad

He was a perfectly competent player, better than most regular players, but he just used a telephone system. we fixed the problem and moved on

you sure its on every map? i looked at it alot, but i thought there was nothing there on some maps... o well, ill look harder there next time to make sure..
also, i was a pilot once, and the sniper used a telephone keypad for drop, and he called me a noob for droping him off at the numpad keypad location, and the entire server stoped playing to argue about it =D
