Hello guys,

I'm searching for a new videocard, but I don't know what to choose. My motherboard: ASConroe945G-DVI. I searched on g00gl3 but i didn't got some clear answers on my question, so I ask the community for advice. It's about my video card all the other things aren't neccesarry (I can do that myself  ). It has to be under $100,- so don't come with new ATI and GeForce videocards  .

Bye Bye!

What is your current GPU and what are the other specs of your PC?

As Tim said, it's important to know whether it's worth buying a new graphics card, because other components could bottleneck a faster card.

Regarding your budget, a HD 4850 is a good option, and for €10,- over your budget, you could get the HD 5750.

The HD 4850 and HD 5750 seem to match up against each other. At times the HD 4850 is faster, and sometimes the HD 5750 is faster. (Source)

However, the HD 5750 is more energy efficient (40 W less stressed, 20 W less idle) compared to the HD 4850, and it features DirectX 11, of course.

Could you specify the exact number of the CPU? Like AMD Athlon 5000+ or Intel Core 2 Duo E6600. (just an example the two I mentioned)

It's a Pentium 4, I can't get more information about it because Everest expired :S

I think you mean pentium D.

If it's a pentium D, forget about what I mentioned. Your CPU will bottleneck the GPU, so it's not worth the money.
