Spliting the MEC into a Modern Army and Insurgents

The ides is basically this:
The MEC team should be split into an "insurgent" (aka, freedom firghter) forces and the a modern MEC army. The story is "after a lengthy war with insurgent forces, the Middle Eastern forces banded together (I study Middle Eastern history, this is completly impossible but this is a game, whatever) to create the MEC to once and for all fight off the western states. I think this would satisfy people who want the MEC to be carrying around RPG's and AK-47s, have roadside bombs, and sucide vests, and those who want to have a modern army. The insurgant forces could have crappy weapons but faster spawn times and 10x tickets. I don't know, just thought I'd throw this idea out there.

I could go for that. Anything that is balanced by numbers rather than stats is a friend to me!

I would like to see insurgents, whit those old weapons like RPG, and AK47 like in DC. On some maps, and other maps there should be MEC, Army

DC was a good mod. The team from that DC/DCF and the team from DCX merged and did DCFX (Desert Combat Final Extended) and they had car bombs and alot of stuff that has been suggested here and it worked really well. I think if it can be done with BF1942 engine I think it can be done with the BF2 engine. (Thats if the modding tools work)

don't we have those that play in squads and those that go lonewolf that already seperates them?

or maybe some kind of security forces police/miltia type people i want to play something balaced,
not end up as a cannon fodder for the other team. varety good but playing the same old US forces Vrs Insergent thing is a bit old.

but its realistic. we should have an insurgent team as well as a MEC army team... but only when the maps are designed right. We really need some well designed maps in this mod, that fit into a story. right now we just have a bunch of custom maps that are fun to play, with the exception of a few that actually have stories.

I think, personally, what we need are more Muttrah type maps, where, for examples, Insurgeants have taken over the town and US troops are trying to take it back. Or perhaps the US Police station compund in an town is under attack (US defence and Insurgants attack). I think on these maps the US troops would need to have their kits stripped back to represent a suprise assault and perhaps the insurgants (with worse weapons) being in greater numbers.

here a sugestion for this well if you split mec up have assult, support and medic units as the modern part with better armor and wepons and sniper spec ops and anti tank as insurgents maby with trags on their head like bf2 had them orgonaly. for pla i doub they need spliting up cause there a huge army and mariens might work haveing some amry trouops with mariens. but this idea is good.

I think fighting an enemy who has nothink but an AK and his kitchen knife is kind of pethetic.
Fighting some noobs with one RPG round and under 100 bullets for his 42nd hand AKM? No, not apealing at all.

Don`t wanna be disillusioning;
You will not be able to set spawn times different for each team.

I think it would be realistic but u could make the maps with just APC's and infantry this way RPG's could have there intended effect against US armor with out the insurgents having there own armor, i dont know if its possible but what about techincals ?

No, don't like this idea. Its been proposed too many times over and I reply with the same response. I mean, I thought having some insurgent army against U.S and U.K special forces (specfically designed maps) would be a great idea. Even have a fictional storyline to back that up if interested (Its in one of the older threads). But anyhow, overall the MEC (could use a new name) should stay as a professional fighting force.
Also note that the AK-47 and RPG-7s are not that damn bad. Reason its stereotyped this way is because most "insurgents" or "terrorists" aren't really skilled with the weapon. The AK-47 is alot more powerful, reliable (meaning it won't jam) than most other western or "NATO" founded rifles. The RPG-7 is also still a very deadly weapon, with the right warheads and a skilled user. Even China still uses their liscensed copy of the weapon.
