Fail Lagging is Fail/Fixed!

So about 20 minutes in I get to play with 5 fps because we all know I am a failure and it is obviously my fault. Anyway help would be appreciated because this worked totally fine on XP.

O/S=Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4
Ethernet to RouterImage
Started with Windows 7 ofc.
So I have disabled my page file.... I have shut down background programs(HP ****), I have not shut down my anti vir yet because I am a paranoid person.

EDIT: It looks like Alt-Tabbing could be the source. It appears to only lag after an alt-tab. That pretty much points to a memory issue IIRC. Rite?

Make sure you are not running in compatibility mode.

Thats what I thought, but now I'm playing and it runs fine. I think its because I also had to undo the compatibility on the BF2.exe

Right, going to give that a go, had similar problems... it was a memory leak it caused, no idea why, or how.

How does NOT running it in compatibility mode make it work? :S

Any nerds care to explain? :)

I (and quite a few other win7 users) get this problem, it appears to be a memory leak as stated. About 40~ mins of playtime and my framerate drops to unplayable levels, only way is to restart the game and rejoin. Very annoying.

turning off compatibility worked for me too :) But now i get a BSOD every 3 maps due to 'page fault non paged area' something like that :(
