[Code] Brake Lights

The Video is a Bit laggy, but the point gets across





The Brakes will be activated once a Player enters the vehicle. As the engine revs the Lights obiviously turn off.

As the player comes to a complete stop, the brakes will turn on.

Pretty Self-Explanatory. Coding was kinda funky and alot of trial and error :P but I got the puppy.


Headlights are also a possibility but for show only. Dynamic Lighting will not allow Headlights to function right.
Unless I missed something ;)

is possible but VERY buggy and glitch etc. The Battle Racer mod did it ages ago :)

Yeah I tried looking into talking with one of their DEVs but I couldn't remember their Name. thanks :P

EoD has dynamic headlights on some vehicles that, as far as I know, work good! It looks pretty cool as well :D . Could be interesting for an evening-map ;) .

I really like the brake lights, its always annoying ingame since response times to convoy vehicles having to halt for whatever reason, are quite low because of lack of visual ques amongst other reasons.

Really nice.
Could be interesting for an evening-map .
I was actually thinking the same thing. PRSP has shown the way imo as having multiple folders with only server.zips would allow alot more modding of the current maps. Al basrah evening, Fools road Day 2, Muttrah MEC retaliation, etc etc .LOTS of variation, not so much filesize.

Can't make it so that when W is not being sent, that the brake lights shine?

Complete stops only will oft make it only for show, because they would have to stop hard, which at that point could very easily cause everyone behind to bunch up.

The light works as an effect bundle, working off of very limited code. I'm looking more into it though. Seeing how I can improve Vehicle Features. Such as this.

Be lovely to have reversing lights, it might stop accidental TKs from APC's?

Pressing S when stationary = white rear lights?

I doubt it would. Usually they get killed because they either are not looking at all or are too close to get out of the way.
