I am new to project reality but I am really excited to get going. Even more excited for when the Canadian forces starts up. Any other newbies on here or any tips for a newbie just starting out?

Welcome to the forums!, i'd tecommend you go first on a training server and learn some stuff there, after ur done whit traing you should go on a real server and join a normal voip squad, im sure they would help you whit some basic stuff u cant learn at a training server.

Just make sure you read the manual and you should be fine.

When you go to irons sights after running walking going prone there is a deviation time for the gun to settle and shoot straight. There is no animation for this so it looks like the gun as settled in a few seconds but is has not. So out of a run, walk, or prone count to 6 then fire, after a shot has been fired there is also a deviation. After a shot count to 2-3 before firing next round for best accuracy. The deviation gets tighter with crouch and tightest in prone.

When joining a squad don’t just spawn in, ask your SL(Squad Leader) what he needs, and if he does not answer look at your squads kit and take what your missing. If you feel your SL needs a HAT(Heavy AT), or some other weapon please request that is ok to pick one up before doing so.

Do not ever 1 man vehicles that require 2 crewmen. Do not use vehicles as your personal transports all vehicles count as tickets. Do not just give up when wounded, you have 5 mins of bleed out time if you have a medic in your squad or near you there is always a chance. Take one kit at a time, there will be a lot of time to learn to use them, kits are not to be wasted, some kits are only allowed 2 on a map at the same time and have 20 min spawn times.

Many more things but that will get you started to being a proper PR player.

Please for gods sake have some kind of common sense and awareness and you will be fine.

Noobs who are eager to learn and have a keen eye and common sense= FANTASTIC!

Noobs who have no common sense, are blind as a bat and run around lone wolfing with a sniper kit= KILL ME NOW!

Anyways welcome mate!

Welcome to Project Reality.

some pieces of advice-

Try Muttrah City or Al Basrah after the training server, they are usually tactical and fun.

Don't pay attention to the occasional idiot who makes fun of you and calls you a n00b.

If your SL tells you something like "go get the HAT kit!" and you have never used it before, tell him you are new and have never used it.

Enjoy PR, see you ingame.

When you see a team mate get shot down by anti air or destroyed while they were in a tank, never say "NICE FAIL LOLOLOLOMGOMGOMG!1111" Because it is not welcomed anywhere. The only time that would be acceptable is if he crashed while doing nothing.

Also get "Mumble" theres a sticky on it in the gen forums.
