I'm going to assume that the Gamespy servers are down. I was playing Borderlands a few minutes ago and got booted off of their Gamespy server. So, its not just a BF2 problem.

GameSpy tend to do server maintenance on tuesday evenings.
It should work again tomorrow the latest.
