Players having temper tantrums on voice comm

I got PR back for the first time in six months. I missed it and wished to play it numerous times but couldn't get it to work. I just upgraded to Windows 7, had a ***** of a time installing it but at least the game works now without any problems.
Since there is a lot to the game and I haven't played it in awhile, I did forget some things. I practiced around in offline mode until I felt comfortable with everything than jumped online. I was playing in Muttrah city as a LB pilot responsible for ferrying troops back and forth to the city.
I didn't crash and was doing alright but a squad leader joined my squad just to swear at me on the comms for awhile. He didn't like how low I was flying and he was pissed that I dropped them 100 metres from where they asked (it was a majorly HOT LZ).
So he was screaming at me for that and used all sorts of profanity. You know when someone screams so loud that their voice becomes static? Yeah, it was THAT BAD. So I told him to chill out and said that if he didn't like my flying, then he could do it himself. I quit my squad and joined his squad, filling it and letting someone else continue to be squad leader. They were pretty grateful to be rid of him.
He was pissed so he filled the text chat with profane, racist remarks and then started crashing helis on purpose and teamkilling. I think he got banned eventually.
Anyone else play with these kinds of nuts?
PS. Overall my return has been very positive. I love this mod so much.

I only frequent servers that have admins on to kick people who need a cool off break

Sometimes people take the game far too seriously... I'm afraid pilots seem to be on the worst end of PR players (mostly SLs) temper. It's too bad that VOIP is something that is difficult to monitor.

isnt flying low and not dropping troops off in the middle of a firefight what helicopter pilots are supposed to do?
and if someone joined my squad and started yelling at me id just kick them. i love the kick button it is my friend.

This case isn't really a case of a temper tantrum, but it is on-par with the stupidity you wanted to talk about.
On Korengal Valley, I had three cases of idiocy within 20 minutes or so. I was playing on the US, and our squad had our Stryker flipped down the road. A Hum-vee passed by and saw us, and stopped to help us un-flip it. However, one of the HMMWV passengers got out, knifed a friendly next to him, and got into the machine gun and shot up my whole squad. He was promptly banned for that.
Soon, we had a new member on our squad we believed was on crack, literally. He talked in a high pitched voice, in an almost gospel-singing accent, which obviously did not sound like the way anybody would usually talk. After we were waiting for a logistic truck to appear, and when one did, I jumped in the passenger seat and he jumped in the driver's, and he started repeatedly ramming some other squad's hum-vee into the corner of the HESCO wall, shouting in VOIP, "DER'Z A HUMMAH IN MY WAY!" I started shouting "stop!" in VOIP and with the command rose, but he continued ramming and making weird noises in his microphone. When I jumped out, he backed off, drove away from the base, and rode off to the farthest he could go off the map before it killed him.
And last, still sitting at base after the truck incident, some noob began to place mines and C4s within the exits of the base, afraid that car bombs would enter despite the fact the server was a no-baserape one. We repeatedly told him to stop, but he kept persisting that its for the car bombs, and that marking them was adequate enough to make them not inflict friendly fire. I kept reminding him even in vBF2 mines still can destroy friendly vehicles, but he seemed to ignore everything and continued to place mines until he suddenly quit to avoid getting banned from the mod.
All this, in less than 20 minutes. The mods remarked how ridiculous the situation was.

On my second round of Ramiel ever I switched from Insurgents to US, then some random nut joined my squad and proceeded to yell abuse at me just because he saw me change teams.
Good thing we have mute and kick functions.

What the FECK?! since you guys mentioned it.. I've notice some people actually gone mad.
this one guy-I'll leave his name alone- came into my squad acting all crazy and started driving the command truck towards the enemy, after being killed, i asked him Not to do it again, he replied with a yell with a retarded voice sound.. needless to say, he got another truck tried the same thing AGAIN then yelled at how he kept getting killed.
i booted him from the squad, then he switched over to the other team. DID THE EXACT SAME THING! he got booted from the other squad after i relayed to the other team to avoid him.
he left server.
I've notice that some people are either going crazy or mad. Sign of the times :sigh:

Once in vanilla when i was new to the game i joined a complete nut job's squad. and he when't completely mental started screaming at me F### you F### noob fag$$ get out of my squad” get out get out!!! .
some people are bloody psycho’s/ In RL iv learned how to spot people like that and avoid them/ but in a video game it a little bit more difficult.

I had an American SL once who was pretty normal until he heard a couple of guys talking talking Turkish to eachother over mumble. He complete freaked out, yelling that the foreigners should shut up he was going to shoot them etc. Funny thing was he was playing on an European server.

I'm sure some of you have heard the Cloudsong incident, right? Classic example of such massive rage.
Sadly, anger disorders are extremely common. And if you give such person a microphone and the internet, you have very nasty results.

You know you should've just said "hey I can't hear you speaking... I don't think your mic is connected..."

I might actually know this guy... do you remember his name?
And I remember once I was playing as a spotter in the Air squad. A guy joins, he know how to fly ok. But then he starts calling someone "oh you are so stupid" and stuff like that. Me and the UKWF clan member were trying to figure out who was he talking to... none of us knew!
The next day I join a squad. The same guy (with another name) says "hey goguapsy do you remember me? I was on kashan yesterday!" I say "oh yeah I do how you doing?" he answers "if you want to stay in this squad you better not act stupid like you did yesterday ok?" as I ask him like 10 times why am I stupid and getting no answer I leave the squad.

This one guy who was in our squad wasnt even the team leader, yet still was trying to give us orders, so we where in the building half way up and we started to get into a fire fight, the moron was standing in the open and thus got shot, while I was the medic healing other people right next to me he continued to scream "YOUR THE MEDIC DO YOUR JOB" over and over, I told him:
1)There is more people than just YOU in the squad:
2)Its your own fault for standing in the open
but he kept bitching because I wouldnt heal him, and only him
I guess someone told all the BF2 Vinilla and COD/Halo people about this mod
