Sarcasm during in game chat

Moderately skilled pilot in gunner flying little bird together, driving a tank together, using an asset...
These moderately skilled players get destroyed in their asset, no big deal.
But there is always those 2 or 3 people who are like "OMGLOLOL111!!!! FAIL FAIL UBER FAIL lolo1111l"
I hope you don't do that, but when people say that to me I want to reach through the game and inflict long periods of torture.
Its not like those moderately skilled players "FAILED" anyways, they might have been shot down by AA, hit with a HAT or LAT. The only rare case where it would be ok to say that is if the person just crashed and died without being shot.
Thoughts?

Like with a badly placed JDAM its alittle fun saying "fail JDAM" on the global chat just be aware of not puttig it on chat if an admin on the server called it in

I did that since it well was a badly placed JDAM when They could have put it on top of our heads, they used it on a FOB with no use. OFC I got kicked for being I dont remember what the admin said but it was something like dont "make fun of the other team" kinda message, showed up the admin didnt have the best day that day, I just got lol moment on sq voip when I got back.
But I agree, if I havent seen the pilot doing risky shit, or just being an *** in flying, you shouldnt really critique a pilot for getting shot down when it is so easy getting shot down (no critique from staticis AA rockets hits 80% of the time in reality acording to CAS). Even nilly players can shoot down a chopper pretty easy.

Well, it can sometimes be anoying when some imature players type these kind of things. I dont really see it as a problem though, i just ignore those people.
Off Topic: Hmm, you might wanna check out what "sarcasm" means.. I dont see it having anything to do with your post.

There's just a recent fad of saying "Fail" vaguely and excessively.
They'll get over saying it eventually and move onto something new.

IMO typing out phrases like "fail jdam", "fail pilot" etc..
is fail maturity.
I havn't seen a single server admin that encourages this kind of behaviour.
I don't want to start on what usless stuff is being spammed in global these days,
but all those "fails..." are the worst.

i believe the "Fail" should be reserved for players that are acting a fool anyway. Players that rape a mosque with a sniper rifle,APC, or little bird deserve a good "fail" when they go down. Also arty that fails to kill a cache deserves a good "fail" as well. Big red and bomb car fails are also in order when they drive into the main and die before lighting em off.
A player on tilt is less effective in my book...therfor a enemy "fail" now and then can help your team win.

What's funny is how often people say this in reference to attack ehlicpoter pilots, even when they've been getting raped by them most of the round.
I was once in an Apache on Kashan a while back, and we killed two tanks, a BMP, destroyed an enemy FB and a good deal of enemy infantry, shot down an enemy trans helo and an enemy Havoc, and then we got locked by two AA, we were out of flares, we got shot down, but my pilot was able to get the Apache down alive.
And as the Blackhawk was coming to extract us, someone typed, "Apache fail!"

??:
I think sometimes people just do that to compensate for the frustration they feel for getting destroyed by the specific asset many times over.
No problem, though.
We were back in another Apache 20 minutes later, and our team won the round.
Best thing to do is just ignore the people who say "fail". They're just looking for attention, really.

people say that all the time. i guess they miss the vanilla system where their name gets rubbed in your face. don't worry, mw2 will soon be out
ok i type something like "omg that was hilarious" when something special happens, like a full huey landing infront of a mec apc @ muttrah.

Internet memes doesn't go together with a serious mood. Keep some ironic distance, or you'll just be a twat. Kids may not get this.
That said:
Crashing a helicopter qualifies for "lol fail"
And one time on barracuda the commander dropped a JDAM on the bunker complex killing one enemy and one friendly. Someone replied in chat: "failDAM"

How about failvee or funvee.
I was with this guy driving and he was talking about funvee time. So when he blew the HMV up cuz of his ignorance towards enemy mines i just said...."failvee"

Taking all I said into consideration, I believe the proper word to deploy in this specific situation would be "Fail Logistics Truck at D6KP7", or shorter, "Fail Logi". Therefore, Fail Logi! ROFLMAOOL!"
Once the admins on TG got mad at me because I saw a huey pilot bailing out around 50 meters high with no locks on him (I think - he was flying very low west of South Bridge, out of enemy fire) and typed on chat "ok, who was the pilot that just jumped out of that chopper?" "GOGUAPSY NO SMACK TALK"

Thats why its called "Sarcasm". The reaction on these things depends on what you feel when you do that yourself. When I type "roflocopter" I dont intend anything personal or offensive, I feel sarcastic. If someone else feels as he/she is offending someone when he/she is doing that (or assumes), obviously, that person will not be pleased to be treated like that.
P.S. People in North America don't have a sense of humor, they have "fun"

.

I always make a point to say "lol fail big red" whenever the big red fails.
I mean, if I don't do it, who will?
One time I blew up the H clan squad on their Chicago Insurgency server, said "ied ownage, you just got owned by my ieds" and one of them had the maturity to say "LOL NO YOU DID".
But yes, I hate it when people say that something or someone "fails" when nothing that happened was the person's fault. That's just plain stupidity.
But in the cases where the Big Red drives into main, and blows up just short of all the choppers, APCs, and humvees, not damaging a single thing except a lone supply truck, I take it upon myself to say "lol big red fail".
