Needs more Chechen Cowbell

Has anyone seen the video on youtube that shows Chechens battling FSB agents that are inside a FSB safehouse?
It is a great looking battle. I have played two different PR Chechen versus Russian maps.
Unfortunately they are both in the middle of some forest.
Is there any plan in the works for making a URBAN Chechen versus Russian map? Thank you for your time.

Sweet links gazz.
Unfortunate that neither one of them is really urban, but definitely getting in that direction. I agree with OP, some urban militia action would be very enjoyable.

Here is a link to that video. I do have to warn you that it contains real combat footage and it does show blood, and nade spamming. So if either of those two things upsets you it is advised you do not click the link.

You know Chechnya is not some great big forest you know, how about you guy's make a nice rural or urban map, you know hedge row's gentle knolls, and pastures, with a little bit of forests in between, Instead of these great big lagy forest's that have almost no cover.
Rural maps may look boring, But trust me there not you get a lot more coordination and teamwork on open maps like that where there is room to manover and lots of cover.
That why maps like jabal is so popular i recon the mapper keep't it simple and it easy to play on.

I think people might be forgetting that alot of these maps entered production or were already made before the militia team primarily became the chech team.
Feel free to load up the editor at any time though

We need grozny. dead people lieng around, blood everywhere, broken guns and armor ( a lot, cause russians got defeated in grozny) lots of destroyed building, everything burning, that would be cool

. So will that map, dragonfly will be british vs chechens?! If so, that is just so unrealistic....

iirc, from reading the dragonfly thread, it will be the generic Militia team Vs the Brits again, as it was before teh Russian team entered PR.

I personally think that the good thing about chechen - russian maps is the wonderful terrain. I don't think that an urban map would be a great idea, but I agree that we need more chechen cowbell maybe a bruce dickinson kit?

TuOuf, only Dragonfly is in that configuration. All current Russian Vs chech maps will most probably remain so.
Speaking from my limited experience, creating a map based as closely as possible on an actual location is much harder than just creating a map with gameplay promoting properties.
But the main response to 'I want a X map' is to encourage Forum members to try their hand at mapping.

I think I'd enjoy US vs Militia
Never going to happen like that though; we have the Talliwackers to deal with.

I'm sure if they had more appropriate statics they would make new urban maps, Dragonfly is the best they can do at the moment in the East Europe theater considering they've only got a few different buildings to use.
Even those apartment buildings are used in middle eastern maps because there's so few enterable statics.
Most of the statics that make up the urban environments are from vanilla BF2 which don't always suit the location and offer little game play value as they're just repetitive, solid blocks.
Indistinct middle eastern buildings can be seen on chinese maps and vice versa.
From what I can tell most of the new statics are either Iraqi, Afghani or Chinese.

Guys, we really, really need Russian forces now. They're actually one of my favorite factions. Grozny is a perfect opportunity. Something like "Siege on Grozny". It's the site of a lot of fighting in Chechnya.

Its not from Chechnya but from the Kabardino-Balkar Republic btw, which is another country in Caucasus.
Edit: Kabardino-Balkar Republic is another republic of russia as Danke points out.
