Medic Epipen time increase...

hey guys, so i was just reading some threads about the medic system and how snipers have a hard time shooting people and moving on to the next target before the guy gets revived. then i remembered reading something in our skools medical kit (for sport sessions) about epiens.
the part that interests me is how to apply one.
1. pop cap off needle end
2. inject into skin and put pressure till you hear a click
3. HOLD FOR 10 SECONDS!
4. remove without touching anything else with the tip and dispose of appropriately
so wat if we could add a delay on the effect of the epien. it'ld remove some of the spamyness of the epien and put more pressure on the point of clearing the area first otherwise your medic has a bigger chance of dieing.
this would help snipers and normal soldiers think more tactical.
i know that snipers are suposed to shoot the medic first, but in some cases it isn't possible when the target needs to go down, fast.
and i also know that the medic system isn't realistic but this might help improve the gameplay.
thoughts?

A couple of seconds pause would actually benefit gameplay hugely imo. Force the medics to spend a couple more seconds next to fallen comrades, rather than heal and scoot tactics.

yeah, its a great suggestion gameplay wise, but ofc epipens aren't even used to deliver adrenaline to battlefield casualties IRL (I think the OP knows that, but just so peeps don't get confused

PR uses a parody to symbolise the use of Epinepherine/adrenaline.

Sounds like a good suggestion. I have been thinking about something like that myself, just to get the ninja revives reduced.
Adding ultra slow walk speed while equipping the epipen or the CPR hands would also help imho.

It might not help if the medic approaches with one of the other weapon's slots selected. Unless the epipen 'loading time' is increased, too.

Why would the medic need to walk slow? Afraid of cutting themselves with a needle or hitting themselves with their "CPR hands"?
Medic already has a hard enough time as it is. I support the epipen use delay, but not this, this sounds stupid.

Epinephrine is used in combat. Just not like it is in game, there are a lot more factors that are taken into account before using an epipen. It is a lot more realistic than paddles though.
I think a wait on the revive would benefit game play. Or making the revived soldier immobilized for a short time after revival. An other option would be to make them blind until they get enough healing.

For the same reason the medic and his equipment is in PR. Gameplay.

^ The epipen use delay would be more a benefit to gameplay than restricting player movement in combat.

Great idea, medics often use the ninja revive of running towards the fallen comrade, prone jumping down and stab them with the pen and then run to cover. A ten second delay would force the squad to control the situation before attempting any revives. Im not sure if its doable though, engine wise..

I really like the idea.
That would mean that if your squad kills an enemy unit they have at least enough time to reload before they go out and check on them.

but now its easier just to give up rather waiting medic come.
its happening alot ingame.
your buddy goes down, you throw smokes but he just gives up.
i got one solution in that but its very hardcore and hardcoded:
when you get revived by the medic, you instantly respawn at outpost.(if you have one)
but if you give up,you have to start from mainbase.

This is awesome, if it worked at the same speed as a mine or grenade trap placement and require the person to be laying down I would be very happy. It would definitely get rid of the run and dive revive and force the team to either clear the area or only revive friendlies in cover during a firefight.

doing CPR while prone is very hard, I tried it for lolz and was completely ****
the game shouldn't let you use CPR while prone imo.

It's a little ridiculous to compare CPR and epipens ingame and in real life. Ingame they're not used at all realistically, so trying to put realistic limitations on them is kind of pointless.
I do agree that a delay would help fix the revive system.

I'd have no issue with them needing to do the CPR standing to knock the person loose then lay down to use the epipen
Of course it would make getting those sliding corpses on hills so hard to revive!

It takes long enough to revive someone and then heal them up to be able to secure their vision and be active and an alert soldier ..Leave it how it is.
