Check for pulse, way to tell wounded from corpse

Is it possible to give the medic some way to tell if a body is wounded or dead ? It would greatly increase the rate at which medics revive imo.

well, with mumble you can. But tbh I just leave the bodies alone who aren't asking for a medic every so often.

in the old days we had bodies going transparent if dead didn't we?

maybe just making them go slightly darker would work?

OR making them go green?

But yeah - it would be nice to tell dead from wounded, maybe something replacing the medic incendiary.

Or give the medic the ability to check for a pulse, for realisms sake.

I guess it can be done, but it will need a new 'weapon' I think, when you use it you get the sound you get when you try reviving a dead body if the dude is dead.

This is not a bad idea, as me being a medic most of the time, I hate when someone dies next to you and you use your eppy pen on them and it makes that funny stutter noise to say they have give up.
But I would like to know if they have give up before wasting eppy pens on them so a pulse or something similar would be really good.

Or maybe something similar like wounded corpses cough or something.

Can't you make "ressurection" only work for wounded corpses?

hmm.... might be an idea....would be nice to get that icon off the minimap which you have to pull up... for the sake of realism...

maybe even a small floating icon over the player when they are down? similar to the landmine danger icon....hmm..

problem being some of the newer players and some few others don't use mumble. That counts this out.

I like the idea of this. Maybe make it so a medic can walk up to a body, take out a weapon and then click then a 5 second animation of him checking for a pulse. Could simple just make a noise or something if there alive.

I agree, something to tell if people are still alive. Preferably not a weapon, the medic is limited as it is. Removing the incendiary grenade would make a medic even less able to contribute to the squad.

Even playing on TG, most people don't use mumble. Squad leaders almost universally do, but most SMs don't, which makes communicating with them impossible.

5 seconds? it takes less than that to revive people atm.

it doesn't take 5seconds to check for a pulse IRL anyway.

I concur (if that's how you spell it). It only takes a fraction of a second to check for a thump thump on someones wrist or neck.

I still want a stethoscope though.

well.... i sorta like the idea where you recessitate EVERY time you eppipiin som one. to give a small icon to see the life or death symbol above their body. and yea like what rudd says .. mumble works wonders. :D lol you can just ask the guy are you still alive? and you get either a yes or no answer because they already spawned out side of your listening range :D lol simplle and easy lol

Mumble needs to be more mainstreamed into PR sumhow.

yes but that means a medic can run out right in the middle of a firefight and instantly check, this way it makes you wait untill the heavy fighting has cleared.

That makes absolutely no sense, when you can run out right in the middle of a firefight and instantly revive him.

...Or they can just call out for a medic by right-clicking the "Give Up" button or left-clicking while they're laying there wounded. That is, if they really want to get revived.

Not necessary in my opinion.
