Project Reality Forums

Preferably a R-Dev would take on the project, but an R-Con would do well too. If you could let me design it though it would be fantastic. You can use assets from vBF2 expansion pack, Fallujah, among others. It would work.

I would do it myself but don't have the 3dMax know how (i'm a maya user...don't have time to learn right now)

Hmm, Los Angeles... if a battle was there you might as well have the USA vs UK or something crazy like that. It would take a very long time to make, but I'd like to see the reaction from the rest of the community

It should be either MEC or China vs US Army

It should be Ramiel size. Tanks and APCs. No aircraft.

As far as story, really not that important, but a simple scenario. MEC or China decide to throw a curve ball to the US by invading the mainland. Would likely be a suicide mission, but its intended to take the US's eyes off the middle east or China and focus assets on defending America, making the battle a little easier for them in their home turf. We could say that the US was caught off guard, making the invasion possible, and letting the MEC or China several miles inland. Its just as realistic as China and the US getting into a real fight.

I mean you could have an (albeit very large) Insurgent cell in LA, who attacked some sort of office building. Although there are too many Insurgency maps of late, so you could do some Chinese or Russian attack on LA waterfront, in a Muttrah-like style.

No aircraft? Not even helicopters? Losing interest...

$2/hour. Seems about right.

If you tried to render the amount of smog in LA the computer would explode from particle overload

Seems more like something the USI mod could add as a treat though.

I'd bet that the US could invade China if it wanted to but for obvious reasons it probably wouldn't, however I really doubt China has the joint amphibious/logistic/naval capability to invade the US.

ye, not without an aircraft carrier at least. Without air support the invasion force would just get picked off like flys.

They should invade with cargo ships.

lets just assume China build some aircraft carriers during the war with the massive amounts of peasant man-power it has. And no aircraft to keep the fight concentrated on ground forces.

Well, if you can come up with a sort of plan with images, a story, factions and assets, someone may take that job (no R-DEV's mind you, these guys are way too busy ).
I doubt it's gonna be easy btw, with all the custom statics and everything.. And it needs to make some sense of course .
