Hey guys Ive been outta the loop for around 3-4 months and I missed out on the .86 patch and bf2 1.5 patch. Ive just installed the bf2 1.5 patch now I am needing to know if I need to uninstall PR entirely in order to install the .87 core.

Is it possible to go from the .85 patch to .87 by installing the core? or must PR be uninstalled and reinstalled using the .87 core?

yes, the .874 core setup alone should take care of it. if not, the .86 patch isnt very big, i dont think.

So just to clarify... I DO NOT need to uninstall all PR programs, to go from .85 to .87 if using the core dl?

Welcome back mate!

If you have 0.85 Core and levels then all you need is the 0.86 and 0.87 patches ONLY!
So if you do have 0.85 Core and Levels then just..

1. Download & Install PR 0.86 Patch... http://www.filefront.com/13921540/Battlefield-2-Project-Reality-v0.86-Patch/

2. Download & Install PR 0.87 Patch... http://www.filefront.com/14468179/pr_0874_patch_setup.exe/
