Move Jabal's vehicle depot

Jabal has a problem imo. (ignoring the dam that faces the wrong way

)
and that problem is the vehicle depot
Several times I've seen LAVs taking advantage of the repairs and unlimited ammo supplied by the vehicle depot, which has seen many the death of a BTR and HAT kit trying to kill it.
Also it means that infantry defending the east beach have an inexhaustable supply of ammo. Which is kinda naf since one of the points of the huey is that it can resupply.
the vehicle depot can be exploited to be quite gamey as a result.
The logic behind the placement of the Muttrah vehicle depot should be applied to jabal,
The simplest way to sort this out would be to put the Vehicle depot in a small hesco compound (super small, its not meant to be part of the gameplay) south of the East Beach flag with a DoD aroud it for about 75m.
Alternatively, put the vehicle depot at west beach instead, to give the flag a reason to exist.

I agree on that, it defeats the point of resupplying the beachheads with the hueys. Also, if you capture it as MEC you can grab ammo and request kits of it. Sure, there is a tiny DoD around it, but you have about 20 seconds to get in and out so you can just keep moving in and out until your ammo is fully resuplied

. Found that out coincidentaly when the MEC team i was in captured the beach objectives.

I fully agree rudd, last night those APC's turned east beach into the alamo...

Completely agree with everything rudd says.
This is an excellent idea:

I agree with the main suggestion that repair stations shouldn't be inside flag zones,
but;
Dr2B Rudd wrote:Alternatively, put the vehicle depot at west beach instead, to give the flag a reason to exist.
That would mean that in order to get to or from the repair station, you would have to go past the enemy mainbase or take the ocean route. Going past the main is pretty risky, and taking the water would take almost as long as going back to the boat(which placing the station on land is supposed to get rid of, no?).

Could it also be possible to make the west and east beach larger, with that i mean a larger military looking installation.
With more hesco, more sandbag bunkers etc.

Jabal needs a route from West to the mountain without passing through enemy main base.
Or better, when a vehicle is being hit, it should stop repairing for 5-10 secs from the last hit.

I'm against what your suggesting.
Why would someone wanna rush to east beach?
They can moan down everything from the surrounding hills.
HAT takes down LAV even if it's repairing, MEC apc:s are currently flawed compared to US apc:s anyway, they have no change even without repair pads.
Iw never seen US win by defending East beach only. Maybe in some proper matches, but not in pub play.
That area is crucial for US to hold, I like that they actually have a change to keep it.

As long as you make sure that the body of the HAT guy doesnt't fall down the mountain when he's shot, he has eternal life aswell. Another one picks up the kit, medic can easily revive because there is no angel for the defenders. That can go one forever, if the medic waits long enough they get another ammo bag aswell.

well Epim3theus, I don't exploit the game in that way.
And in any case, a big problem when I'm attacking east beach is the volume of fire coming back at me.
Now, thats going to happen to some extent no matter what.
But when 2 sides begin a firefight, and one side begins to win the firefight (i.e. the otherside is becoming suppressed) the deciding factor often (assuming both sides have reasonable levels of skill) is ammo.
Now, my Mec Squad could have 4 supply crates and 2 rifleman, but no matter how much supply I have...they are going to have more. Thanks to teh vehicle depot.
If the USMC have more supplies becuase they have used teamwork and forethought to prepare the ground, then cudos to them. But when the infinate well of ammo is on their side...its almost laughable that USMC squads should be defeated at east beach.
Add the LAV (or 2) on top, (which can actually boom headshot people so they aren't revivable) and heck, even CAS which often destroys your crates even if it doesn't kill your squad...and any MEC squad attacking east beach is in trouble.
If the depot was moved to thesouth of east beach, its not even that far away, but at least it isn't on the flag.

I agree. I wish the vehicle depot and supply depo were seperate. Maybe having some sort of "garage" for the vehicle depot, Keep the Supply depo the way it is.

Oh i did not want to imply you do, but the way it plays out it easily turns out in that way.
I think the whole map should be revised, flag wise, or the massive ticketbleed removed from losing east beach. Along with replacing the vehicle repair station.
As long as mec is present up the eastern hill, they can keep the US were they are on east beach. Another squad move up from the bridge direction and get close.
Normally the MEC will have more boots on the ground and less flags to defend, mostly dam, and more flags to attack. So they have all the advantages, and eastbeach is pretty hard to defend, it's pretty much laying in a bowl.

war is not meant to be fair for both sides. the marine corps has an advantage on this map. deal with it.

PR is a game, and both sides are made up of people who want to have fun playing it. Therefore, it needs to be fair.
I have been on pub matches where the MEC push to east beach, only to get raped by invincible APCs with infinite ammo. It is very hard to get a HAT into a good position on the hills when you're getting pummeled by LAVs, Hueys and infantry all the time. It's even harder to actually get an accurate shot off with the long steady time the HAT needs. It's not much to ask that the vehicle depot be moved so that the LAVs have to be in the open when repairing and gaining infinite ammo.

Stupid comment
this is project reality
so
1) each map is balanced, asymmetrical balance is still balance - i.e. both teams need an equal chance of winning though their tools are different. So the USMC shouldn't have an advantage.
2) each advantage or disadvantage should steam from realistic aspects, not gamey ones.
so if the USMC want a ammo advantage at east beach, they can but only if they get enough supplies to it via air and apcs, not the magic well of ammo.
this is not unprecidented, remember the old cps? they repaired and rearmed, and could be placed anywhere. Result? the team just sat next to it with HATs constantly rearming.

If PR would go by that statement none of the bases and carriers wouldn't have any DoD areas and people could go picking up on spawning peeps, oh and btw you would get banned as soon as you die

this advantage also happens to be unrealistic. infinite ammo and constant repair of vehichles is not something that happens often for you is it?

And if we went by your logic the carriers would be over the horizon and out of the range of shore based defences, this line of argument will lead nowhere.

That and walking downhill risks you tumbling down and instantly requiring you to get medevac, the field dressing would require you to press a different key for each step, there would be a blink key to clean up dust in your view...
Or it just, you know, becomes ArmA.
