I dont really know how i should put this, to explain it well.

I have downloaded a free 3ds model, and i want to get it ingame for my own personal use and to learn modding.
im not entirely sure if its useable for bf2, but i really hope so. and i searched for a ''low poly'' vehicle. so i think this should be right, i do not have 3ds max or any sort of moddeling program do i need it for this project?
As you could tell, i do not have much experience to none. i have only followed discussions on the forum and browsed abit trough topics.

(thats legal right, since its free, and i take absolutely no credit for this model.
Ford Crown Victoria - Lowpoly | Free 3D Models for Maya and 3DS MAX )

And i have to the following files and folder that came with the download;

Everything in the .zip file.
Image

skincop folder.
Image

skin00 folder.
Image

car folder.
Image

crown_victoria teks document.

I have no clue what they mean, tried to research it but didnt really help.
So trying to find help how to make a vehicle out of this, and guide me trough the process of what else is needed, like coding etc.

I do have photoshop and the bf editor.
Anyone that could help me and guide me trough it? :| :)

I have xfire and a mic (offcourse :razz :) and TS and Ventrillo.

If someone could help me in the way of like doing a part and the next days or week another part of the process depending on your time, or just in this post doing the whole process? :)
Would greatly apprectiate it!

Note that it is not my model but someone elses, and i will stop with the project if im doing something that the rules doesnt allow me to, im just useing this for personal use, which theirs nothing wrong with as far as i know.

I always see devs say that you should start off with a small handgun or something, Creating a Weapon for Source tutorial - Mod DB is the one I'm learning from ;)
Good luck

Well, i have the model and everything.
And im not going to learn how to model, but i want to learn how to make a vehicle out of the files i have. :)
Since i want to use it for a little project.
Offcourse i know with just these files i cant make a vehicle, so i would like to get told what to do with these files and how to do the coding stuff and what else is needed.

Also isnt that for a whole different engine?

O, okay, I thought you wanted to learn modelling

ps: it teaches you the basics of modelling, skinning, and UV-mapping, and exporting to Source, but the first 3 things it teaches you, are all usable for BF2

If you want to use it in your own bf2 mod, you have to export it, and it's not the easiest task...(I know that I'm learning it...)
Then you can make the codes (and even use PR ones, if it's only for a personal use).

So you have some experience on this Hauteclocque? :)
If so, could you help me out with this?

I'm a noob at that.
I can't even export a gun properly for the moment.
And cars are far more difficult to export, they are more parts.
I can't help you sorry :?
