It shouldn't be too hard to make it so that when you call out a radio message, it doesn't sound like you're hearing it over a radio. For example, you wouldn't talk into a radio and hear it looping back out the speaker, because that would just give feedback screeching of doom. Receiving radio messages should be left the same, but unless it's hardcoded, it would be cool if it would sound like you're talking into your mic rather than hearing yourself do it.
