joystick problems

whenever i try to fly a helo or fighter im unable to take off, i have no aileron control or elevator control...but what i do have rudder is control weird. i know the j/stick is working because in works perfectly in il2 etc...is it something to do with the setting sensitvity pitch and yaw?i tried playn around but have no luck please help
