Eh, doesn't have a nice ring to it.

If it is the map on all the popular servers, it is a popular map so you can't blame them for running it. There's always another server to join playing something else...

lol. Na what makes me unhappy is in fact server admins are actually putting muttrah on far too much making it overplayed, leading to players like archerfenris becoming totally sick of it

The best thing you guys can do is simply switch servers if they change to muttrah and play on servers not currently running muttrah, then with any luck they will put muttrah on less and it will not become overplayed. Also avoid the 24/7 muttrah servers helps

Play other maps then.

I do see what he is saying though. Muttrah used to be one of my personal favorites, but it seems that I am always playing it now, and to be honest I am getting a little burnt out. But then again its not difficult to find a different server to take a break from the map to keep you and Muttrah's relationship fresh and romantic.

The thing with Muttrah is it is very good at getting servers populated. Start with Asad Khal to pick up your infantry players, throw on Muttrah next and everybody and their cousin shows up, then you've got a full server to launch into everything else. Muttrah shows up again and again to keep the numbers up after the niche maps like Kashan and Tad Sae.

now everybody know positions on enemy fob's ,sl have to think more and more strange places for fobs

It is certainly overplayed. It's a damn good map, if you're tired of it just switch servers. Better yet, switch roles/teams.

Muttrah is a great map for getting used to the MEC and their G3 weaponry, and it's also a good map to start playing Project reality, because it is quite basic yet interesting. I think it's kind of noob friendly map. But yes, play maps like Kashan and Chinese maps and so forth, every now on then to keep things interesting.

I posted this last night after I got BLESSED PR TIME! I had about an hour and a half to play before I had to go to bed so I could wake up in time for formation the next morning. Imagine me so excited to get play time! I jump on my comp and log in to find....ALL POPULATED SERVERS ARE ON MUTTRAH. Where was my hero Chicago Insurgency? Replaced by some IMPOSTER called Chicago Insurgency +2 that was playing Muttrah just like the rest of the mindless zombies!

Muttrah is a great map. I love urban maps since they're about 80% (don't quote me on this, It's totally estimated. I'm not an encyclopedia damnit!) of modern combat. But I'm mostly an asymetrical warfare kinda guy. No Fallujah, no Kabal, hell I'd even take Korengal. Nope, just Muttrah. / rant

I agree completely. Ive noticed a trend the past few releases, that after a few months a large amount of servers devolve into mostly playing muttrah. its getting to be that way with the current release. after a new release is the only time i see any real variety on the servers but it doesnt last long before its back to muttrah-marathon.

for all the people saying "well just join a different server", 9 times out of 10 the only POPULATED servers are the ones running muttrah. so yeah you can switch, and then play with maybe 5 other people.

Its a decent map. It's not the armorfest that Kashan is.

I think Barracuda maybe the best Infantry/Air Combination though.

lol yeah i dont know how but one time on MEC someone managed to place an FOB right smack inside a solid building, we spawn inside the wall and walk outside of the walls.

It's the Muttrah City 24/7 servers that kill Muttrah, much like any 24/7 server on PR would kill any map. Not enough infantry maps are played anymore. Not many players want to play a map where they can't hop into a helicopter, or complain about someone who has hopped into one.

Muttrah is the new Al Basrah sooo maybe all 24/7 muttrah can change to 24/7 basrah....please
