The first page is cluttered with old, uninteresting polls to the extent that the interesting issues being debated here are flushed down and forgotten.

Why are there so many polls? When anybody votes in a poll it gets sent to the top of the page.

I suggest, if possible, that we only send a thread or poll to the top of the page when something is written in it. (Oh, I see the irony in a poll about a polls, but this thread has to survive the onslaught of the polls!)

It might be better to ask if there are too many old polls being bumped up though. Maybe they should be closed after a set time.

Seriously.. Yes.

The thing that gets my back up is that 90% of them offer no real contribution to the forums or the community. They're not for research, someone just gets bored and thinks.. "I know, I'll ask a question on the PR forums"

The straw that breaks it though, is that many of them are in the wrong sections, so clog up my eye space when I browse the forums looking for a good thread.

Locking thread, but point taken Will simply remove the poll ability on the gen disc. forums.

Removed the ability for non-Devs to add polls in the PR General Discussion and moved some of the older, longer running polls into tales from the frontlines.
