why so much hate on steam? they have really good sales (2 weeks ago they went crazy with sales i got 5 games for $20 that would cost me about $70)
this alone was for $50
Package: THQ Complete Pack

because its such a unbelievable pain in the *** ? downloading stuff is such a mission its unreal. just because it has good prices doesn't make it good.

ughh youd rather spend like $30 for a game that would cost $5? thats what I got Grid for 5 bucks and on Amazon the lowest price is $15, plus shipping would probably go $20. hell try finding the original Hitman from Amazon. i got one for $20 from a "respectable" seller and guess what turend up in the mail: one of those blank CD you can get from Bestbuy and on it Hitman was crudely paisted on it. Amazon prices are SUPER high too look at this (a classic RPG game that died cuz it was realeased the same day HL2 was)
Amazon.com: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines: PC: Video Games
vs
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines - Age Verification

Steam games you can download anytime (unlike CDs which can break and be scrached)

i dont want to turn this into a "steam suck!, no steam wins" thread, but people have reasons for disliking steam. there has been numerous threads about steam, have a search. but as i said, they sell games cheap sometimes but thats not what makes a service good.

u dont even get any serves when you buy a CD, steam self updates, has community stuff really good tech support etc. lol, w/e.

self updating is unnecessary and a hindrance. "serves" with CD? . all games have "community stuff" and good tech support.

you can shut off self updates, tech support is a ***** on most games and charge like $1.5 per minute. on the other hand Steam support will email you back. community wise look at red orchestra it got a massive buff from players and content when it was realeased on Steam.

People have there different opinions on steam I suppose, because I think its w**k its so unreliable. Im only using it at the minute because with codmw2 you have to  and Ive had a big problem with them but thats on another thread and on there tech forums its just robots that answer your posts, either that or they copy nd paste the same thing over nd over again.
yep thats my opinion ^
dont argue back ma21212
