Hello there PR community. This will be my first "Highlight".

I have always just done blog posts as I was waiting for the "right thing" to post as a proper highlight... I finally figured that "hey, just do it", so here are a bunch of new goodies for you to play with - 5 new M16's all of them fully automatic

As some of you might have seen, I posted a blog entry some time ago about me modifying the M16A4 to the A1 standard.
I was going to send it off to Chuc and let him do the remaining work but he is now on a very well deserved break from PR and you'll have to make do with me in his absence blasphemy! - I know!

So I finished up the textures since that blog post, and I modified a few other bits as well as making 3 new variants of the A1 for the IDF to go to town with.

From top to bottom:

• M16A1 with 30 round mag
• M16A1 with 20 round mag // due to popular demand and future proofing
• M16A1 "Mekotzar"
• M16A1 "Menosar"
• M16A1 "Mekotzrar"

I am currently exporting them and fixing animations. A sneak preview:


More on that later. I will probably end up editing in game videos in here, so stay tuned.

Finally I would like to thank [R-DEV]Ninja2dan and [R-DEV]ZZEZ for helping with guidance and realism in this little project, their advice has been great

Credits for the original models and textures can be found in the blog entry I have linked to. The only change is the new textures which I made.

Heh im getting my M16A1 (short) tomorow
Would be nice If u could make the texture around the carrying handle look older.. like the scope on this image, all of these M16A1 have changed hands many times, and on those screenies they look brand new.

If any1 cares, Mekotzar = Short, Menosar = Sawed, Mekotzrar = Shortzord
And if u need I can get a ton of ref pics of IDF short m16a1's (for teh texturez)

Great job! Just one thing: is it just me or do the handguards on the "M4s" look a bit too thin?

ok now im confused, what does idf use?

Tavor or all these m 16 versions or all? is it too early to say which kits will get which gun?

i also thought the A1s were too old for modern military's to use them, i thought they would of used the A2 or A3
