Why do servers mostly run MEC desert maps. Firstly it's plain boring this US/MEC fightings, feels so outdated.

Have more China/UK/US maps around, much more fun, eee.
I'm gonna play the ARMA II demo now... the game is great and everything, although had enough of desert fever.

Ejod is super boring, Kashan is epic win if u have a really good full tank/APC squad, otherwise It makes me quit after 30 mins. Theres another boring US vs MEC map, Jabal al Burj... *puke*

Jabal is awesome!

Roping down the dam to find the grapple isn't long enough is awesome (true story)!

You could always load the editor up and make a map for PR

Its actually quite fun, and you get better at it very quickly imo.

How can you even say that!

Being an insurgent is awesome, get a decent squad together and ambush US convoys :D

Its all relative, something one player finds boring is another players favourite map, some people like tanks, some people like jets some people like inf.

Only map I would say with a general consensus of being boring is Quinling (although its pretty fun)

Ejod is great generally. Most people haven't figured out that you have to be very quick to win the map. When you can force the enemy to fight in the open, they're finished: Or better yet, when you capture their main before they can prop up firebase and assume good defensive positions.

Kashan is pretty good every now on then.

All the militia maps are awesome and its a pity they're so rarely played.

The most boring maps are probably the Chinese maps for all sorts of reasons.

Oh yeah, Ejod is a a really simple map (3 flags) Although it was more interesting with 2 flags in the city or back when you could go on this hills.

I have to disagree, Qwai is/was a pretty dam fun map.

I don't dislike any maps except Qwai River, but it depends on who's playing.

If the 2 teams are organised, and using team work to win. Then the game's much more enjoyable, I get bored of maps when I find myself stuck at main because some idiot thought he could insert squads into hot zones then fly out unharmed, then dying.

Falluja is real Hell for insurgents.
hiding in wide streets and fields from APC isnt fun.

Seven Gates is just boring.

Archer is too big (really big). It hurts to intensivity of gameplay. Needs more spawns for Taliban.

I thinks fallujah is the only good map for insurgents, put a couple IED's on a road and wait for a jarhead to drive over it :) And against infantry the AK's pawn Armalites quite hard

agreed about IED (love it!)
but streets on this map soo wide, APC just see mines and drive away. total frustrating for me. i put them again and again until APC....... ****.

and many caches set in open areas.
so defending of them leads to dying from APC that shoots from 700 meters away. and those AR with optic.

for me perfect INS maps are Karbala, Ramiel, Basrah. Coz streets are not so wide, and you can allow enemy come closer and make diversion. this is real INS style.

The trick is to hide the mines whitin carbage bags or to set them on the other side of the road and the IED to the other so the driver thinks the side opposite of the mine is safe, and then BOOM!!! BUAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!
