Cache bug, CTD

Hi all,
Just registered here but I have been playing for a while and I love the work that has been done on this MOD truely excelent. I have however encountered a problem, I seem to have no floor textures I can see right through them
. When I delete my cache and it rebuilds and seem to have the floor when I get to the map screen ingame, but then the game crashes to desktop without fail. If I restart it loads in fine but I have no floor again.
I have tried re-installing a few times from my CD (old) and from an ISO incase my CD was getting duff, repatching checking the MD5 of the patches. I have turned UAC off so I am running in admin (cause no end of headachs with PB) I have tried altering the graphics settings to no avail and I am a bit lost with where to go now.
I am running on 0.874 on Windows 7 64bit this load crash problem is apparent on all maps.
Best Regards,
Wip
Update:- There are no windows system logs about that crash, PunkbusterB seems to start ok and there is a log about BF2 disabling the Desktop Window Manager.
Update twoooo:- So I set my video settings to medium and it generated a floor and no crash finaly, I gradualy added more settings in, deleting cache and restarting the game as I went untill I had all at high settings. One thing to note if I have AA set to 4x the game pauses when I load in then it turns AA off... might be to do with it, but now I have a floor again!
