I was not sure where to put this, so please move this to the correct area, Thanks.

i just recently moved to a new computer, and i wanted to move my game over without using the usb and such.

What I did was i downloaded Teamveiwer to both computers ( TeamViewer - Free Remote Access and Remote Desktop Sharing over the Internet ) and i also made sure both computers were connected to the internet. then i started it, and did the file transfer mode. While in file transfer, i made a folder in my new computer called " EA Games" just like it is in the old game in the same location, and i moved over my file.
It tock about 2 hours to move compleatly.
After that i moved the folder in "my documents" for bf2 to the same location in the new computer.

The only thing i had to do, was follow this tutorial ( https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... valid.html ) and the only part of this tutorial i had to use was to add " x9392 " into my cd-key area in my registry.

then i could play in and mod i had installed before the move, with about only 2 hours of transfer.

That sounds an awful lot like the normal FTP client stuff built into windows that you can use to move files from computer to computer... I'm hoping you didn't pay for that program XD

nope, its a free program that makes it reasy to remote into other computers for ppl like me who tried to move the files using windows connect, but it dident want to work XD

it has a dynamicly configured username and password (or you can regester and make one) and i just used that to move the files, then uninstalled it on my new computer.

(i also use it to get arround the blocks at school XD)

Uploading 3 GB of data with my connection would take around 20 hours....it takes a lot less time to just install BF2 + PR

If you have a memory stick then save all of the apps that are required to install the mods (E.g PR_Core and PR_Levels) then just reinstall BF2 on the new PC and reinstall all of the enw mods :)

but to do that you have to save the files to the cd, whtch takes forever, and then you have to reinstall them on the new computer, which also takes forever.
this way skips the move by going straght to the new computer XD

I personally save all my installers, and I have ridiculously fast internet both at home and at school, as well as 2 copies of BF2. However, if my external hard drive failed or something else catastrophic happened, this could be handy. Thanks for sharing
