is anyone else having X52 Joystick problems with BF2 1.5? I can use the throttle and some of the buttons but not the actual joystick part. Ive tried installing drivers etc.. just dosent work..
im windows 7 and it was working fine before.

I think this question has been asked a few times before.

Try switching between secondary and primary for buttons and axis movement. If one doesn't work, the other one should.

ye I've found some odd things happen with my x52 as well, I think its down to like Slick said, the modes. Finding it only works properly on mode 1.

Ok i just managed to get it to work.. this was how i fixed the problem I had.

The 1.5 patch sets Falcon as primary controls..
You have to go to controls set your controls on secondary, then apply then set them on primary then apply.then it should work..WELL PLAYED EA

its like a futuristic joystick type controller. kinda like the wii remote just a lot bigger.. But still I doubt you will meet anyone that actually owns one

My X52 works fine with 1.5. One problem I do get is that when I first start BF2 the stick won't respond. Unplugging and then replugging it from the throttle station makes it work until I restart my computer.

I have that problem with my Logitech Extreme 3D pro... as if the JS wasn't plugged in when I start the game... it wont work... so I will have to quit the game, plug the JS and the restart it.

I have no problems with my X52 Pro and BF2 1.5 under XP... however, I can't get BF2 to run at all under Windows 7, so I don't know if there are joystick problems in that configuration.

Can you run it when the joystick isnt plugged in?

I've gone through 3 X52s, all three had the same fault with the electronics/PCBs. Utter rubbish for the money.

I use a Cougar now

Sounds like a guy who I used to race with, he went through 6 momo's(Logitech racing wheels(the cheap ones)) before finally upgrading to the $200 wheel.

But yeah after the 1.5 patch I had issues with mine(cant remember the exact name) and I know guys on Chicago had troubles too. I think I fixed mine like was already said, just switch between primary and secondary modes

OK. So I hooked up my Joystick after a month of non-useage and I am having the problems as stated in the OP.

Has anyone got a sure solution as to what I should do?

So you cant get your aircraft to get in the air when you pull up is that the problem?

That, and none of the "buttons" work. They all work properly in the editor, but they dont work ingame, like the game doesn't recognise them, or the joystick buttons.

The throttle works fine, just the buttons and the joystick.

Help? Anyone?

Its like BF2 isnt recognising that I have a Joystick plugged in. The Axis work fine now, solved that with deleting the falcon entries, however, the BUTTONS do not work at all.

They are totally useless, they work in the panel and out of game, but they dont respond in BF2 at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
