Hello.

I've had few problems with running PRSP before, but after I installed the holiday map pack, I got this error message when trying to start up PRSP:

Debug assertion failed!

Version: 1.5.3153-802.0 Build date:2009-8-20 17:8
Module: Localization
File:
C:\dice\Projects\BF2Branches\Patch_1_50\Code\BF2\IO\Localization\ExcelLexicon.ccp
Line: 53

Text: while reading lexicon file
'localization/English/a_prspxmasmappack.utxt': bad unicode fingerprint

Current confile:

Does this mean my holiday map pack is corrupted? If so, how do I uninstall the map pack separately from PRSP?

Thanks!

Might it be that I have installed the map pack in the wrong location?
Anyone? If you can just tell me how to uninstall the map pack clean, it would help very much!

Just delete the maps out manualy, where ever you located them. Which are:
1. Operation Outlaw
2. Desert Rats
3. Helmands Return

Then locate them to the correct place:
My Computer / Local Disk C: / Program Files / EA Games / Battfield 2 / mods / pr_sp / Levels.

Done, Have fun!

No, don't delete files manually, use Programs and Features in Control Panel and uninstall it via that.

That file has probably become corrupt somehow if you're getting that error, either try reinstalling, or redownload then reinstall.

Thanks for replying! This is sort of ironic, but when I try to uninstall the map pack through Programs and Features, an error message appears and says I can't because the file is corrupted.

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\unins005.dat" file is corrupted. Cannot uninstall

Do you have any idea how else to get rid of the map pack without making a mess?

I guess I'll have to do it that way anyway, Mike. Will post how it goes when I've sorted it out.

Thanks!

Deleting them manually and reinstalling worked, and I can play the holiday map pack now. :D
Again, thank you!
