Some statics in game should be able to be destroyed. Cars for example on muttrah are scattered all over the map. instead of the them being able to be driven they should just spawn and sit there so if you hit them with your apc ... or Truck they move and get blown up if shot at enough times etc.. or just set on fire untill the point they aventualy blow up...
it would just be a little more realistic and could a fun addition.... plus they wont just be random cars that dont do anything

.... Even if we didnt make them Destroyable still ... movable would be much more realistic then a 1 ton truck slamming full speed into a car and the car not being damaged at all lol....

its not realistic blowing up a car with bullits, unless its verry lucky.
its been proven.

^ this, also there's a limit to the number of dynamic objects in bf2 maps and it's not going to add a huge amount of fun to have dynamic cars for the vehicles to glitch and explode on.

You can light them on fire, but not very likely to explode with just one type of bullet.
Now I believe its possible to light the interior on fire / gas tank if you use "tracer" rounds which the conventional forces use.
Quite sure they have a piece of phosphorous in the tip of the round which glows brightly when fired.

There is also a difference between static and dynamic.
What you are looking for is interactive dynamic objects, that cannot be entered like a vehicle. But still able to be damaged, much like those white tanks on wake island 2007 that actually move.
Saying a "Dynamic static" object is an oxymoron really.

So make them invulnerable to bullets but destroyable with heat, just like humvees or even APCs?

The streets of muttrah have a noticeable lack of objects which you can use as cover. I mean, compared to reallife environment, they are so empty... even the mapper himself (a dev afaik) mentioned that the road network of muttrah doesn't show enough detailedness. (belive it's being reworked)
So, I dont think taking away the last pieces of cover that there is by making them destructable is a good suggestion.

Muttrah's streets are a little empty. Ramiel is a good example of streets with lots of cover. There's mortar holes, wrecked cars all over the place.

First off theres the networkable object limit to think about. BF2 has a hard limit of 1064 (iirc) networkable objects on any map (anything a player can affect). Adding more networkables also increases demand on the connection.
Additionally this is a resuggestion.
